Sturt were strong and determined in the first term and deserved their 25 point lead. Sturt were getting the ball clear of the packs and running into the forward line with confidence, lots of strong marks, good snaps, overall a dominant quarter.

However, it all changed in the second term. Sturt were not able to get the ball, while Port were able to battle and push themselves forward to score regularly, ending up a point ahead themselves at half time. This game is anyone's at the moment...

At unley sturt dominated the middle in the first qtr, the run through the middle was impressive. In the second qtr port were able to shut down sturt in the middle, their run from defence a key reason they are in front at half time. Already there has been 2 goals from port defenders. Sturt seem to want to run in only one direction. Should be a cracking third qtr.
