Mate, I was just a bit stunned that you posted it from what I had seen at trainings. Looking through the names they have they are definitely a bit stronger than I anticipated.

Really do think TTG will be top 4. Were all of last year and have picked a lot of players.

  What did you take out of Smithfield's footy on the weekend? Strength's, weaknesses?

strenghths...about half a dozen players at or near 6 ft 2 with good size
on the main they had good ball skills on both sides of the body and they had a good mix of left and right footers
will have a very good spine when all in same team
ran very well in the second half and like to play in groups of three across half back without crowding each other
weakness......alot of new players will take time to mesh
a couple of players will be easy to get under their skin but on saturday they were all very good
depth could cause problems in a long season

very good forward set up and both big targets very good overhead
ruckman will be in top three in division

willing to listen and learn...i spoke to the team after the game and they listened and took in some info
a few of their guys came up after and wanted to speak a bit more about what was said,
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Any team that can get past ovingham by less than a goal in a trial game would certainly be flag favourites :)

i dont think many people actually appreciate how hard it is to adjust and play on the ovies ground, such a small ground makes it hard to have structure and it becomes very congested around the ball.

good point. played there twice last century for another club and blokes were trying to kick goals from CHB, we couldn't find space and Ovies ran rings around us yet we smashed them at home

That is a good point, I remember playing there on May 27 1995, it was a day after my daughter was born, I was looking forward to carving it up as I was on such a high, thought I'd kick a bag starting on the ball changing on the flank..................It was probably the worst A grade game I have ever played, couldn't find space, couldn't make a lead, every mark was a pack mark.

For me having played since about 1995 on many grounds it would be one of the more difficult grounds for me that I have played on due to the lack of space.

Here is my attempt at a ladder:

Sacred Heart OS
Angle Vale
Henley
Smithfield
Mitchell Park

Tea Tree Gully
North Pines
Flinders Park
Modbury
Flinders Uni

The depth in div7 this year is really quite amazing. Can see every team in the bottom 5 pushing for finals except perhaps Flinders Uni. No easy games that is for sure.

I'd be pretty surprised if Modbury finished that low, theyve got a sh!t load of juniors coming through.
