Hope this rain stays away today. Good way to ruin a game of cricket.

S2 Haven V Morphy Pk.
Have to pick Haven only as they finished higher. They have a few handy bats and if they all fire i cant see Morphy's getting close. Morphy's confidence would be sky high after knocking ICC out who finished top!

S3 Haven V ICC
HAVEN! Dont want sharks to win anything! Simple.
North Haven will be pumping sunday night, having 2 GF's played side by side. Be a bumper crowd down at Haven for both days. The ICC fans will need to take a packed lunch and dinner with them for the drive down.

S4 Belair V Woodcroft
Belair.

S5 ICC V Hamilton
Hamilton just.
Wonder if ICC will try field the strongest team possible to try win a S5 flag.

S6 Mitchell Pk III V Morphy Pk.
Battle of the Parks here. For Mitchell Pk the top 5 will have to make runs here! Hollis and Rusby with the ball are the key! Morphy Pk will need broadwood to again feature in the runs and jack voyzey. Henley and Davis hold the key for Motrphy's bowling.
Mitchell PK for me!

7+7 Kewsick White V Adel Cavs Blue.
Don't know, Don't care so Adel Cavs Blue just.

THE BIG GAME NOW!!!!!
DAVID VS GOLIATH
SECTION 1

Lets start of with Plympton. The underdogs. At the start of the season most would not have picked Plympton to make finals, nor a Grad Final. It just shows you that hard work and persistence pays off, so congrats to Plympton. 1st time in a long time since PLympton has played finals and grand finals cricket. Greg and his troops have done wonders this season, have some handy players in the side. They have taken some big scalps during the season, None more bigger than South Road. They have the players to win big games and have experience throughout the order.
WYC, most picked us to be top 4, some picked us to win the flag. Have been playing great cricket the whole season. Big losses to Belair and South Road (Plympton beat both). We have gone through the motions during games, where we drop off and expect wickets to fall or players to get the runs. Credit to Robbie and the rest of the squad who has played A grade this season, because without those other players we might not be playing this weekend! I know their was some tough decisions made last night after training, and the players all know that. But we are all 100% behind Robbie and his decision.
This is time where WYC need to stand up and show the rest of the competition that WE ARE the best side in the comp. Its all well and good to win a flag one year, then bottom out the following. Well we WYC need to change that. We will accept nothing more than a flag. Since out inception into ASCA, we have missed the finals once, and won 4 flags. The time is now for us as a team to stand up and show that we are the best side in the comp and win back to back flags!!!!! It hasn't been done for years.

THE KEYS
The 1st session on Saturday will be vital for both teams. Could set up the match in the 1st hours play. Naismith hold the key for plympton i believe as he has shown the ability to build an innings and play the anchor role. Jake and Kingy, is they get us off to a flying start, relieves some pressure.

THE X FACTORS
Giersch and Pomeroy for Plympton. If Gierschy can get away early in his innings he could be a handful especially on WYC. Pomeroy has the ability to come in late in the innings and play attacking shots and make quick runs. Both are capable of taking poles when required!
Could be anyone from WYC. All have the ability to do it, whether its with the bat or ball. We have the players who can dig deep when in trouble and on the other side, we have players who can tear apart attacks. I know that most opposition sides have been on the receiving end from a WYC player tearing a bowling attack apart.

THE FANS
Plympton have a big supporter base when it comes to finals fever. It shows during their footy finals campaign last yr. They probably have the biggest following and when they arrive at WYC Oval they will be full of voice cheering their side to victory. WYC fans, will need to just as vocal if not louder as it is in fact our turf! To fellow cricket watchers, players and fans, come and watch. There will be a bbq where u can purchase food, drinks, chips, tea & coffee (soft and beer) bloods yes on beer????

AND THE WINNER IS..............................
WYC OBVIOUSLY......

MAN OF THE MATCH.....................
Sir Richard Press.

To the plympton supporters and players, i would recommend setting up camp by our nets, loads more room than over by the tree where most clubs sit. There is the hut there aswell.

TO ALL SUPPORTERS, SUPPORT HARD, CHEER, BARRACK, BUT PLEASE LEAVE OUT ALL THE PERSONAL SLEDGES!!!!!! 7 AT THE END OF THE DAYS PLAY, PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES.
PLAY HARD, BUT PLAY FAIR!

And FIGJAM will you be out this game. Please feel free to come over and have a beer and we at WYC are dying to meet you :)

What was the tough decisions that Rob made after training ?

Plympton batted quite well today especially Naismith, that was a very good innings he played.

217 is a good total in a final but something we are confident of chasing down.

Should be a good days cricket tomorrow.

How many overs did Naismith bat this week?
A good performance in the two finals.

Credit to both clubs this weekend. was a very good game to watch played in good spirits. I'll be honest, I didn't give plympton a chance at the start of the year but I'm proven wrong. They have come a long way.
Thought McDowell was superb today. held his nerve very well for a young fella. Press batted well for 44 I think and BMAC smashed a few around for a well made 50.
Good speeches by both captains during the presentations too!!
Congratulations to WYC for the section 1 premiership!!
Results from other grades?

Has been a very competitive competition this year, best I've seen in my time. Credit to the ASCA and ALL players that played a game this season.

Well said lads.

By far the most rewarding flag I've played in. We chased down 168 and 218 to win in finals. What an effort.

Ollie, well what can I say, rewarded with MOTM at the club tonight. What an effort. This kid is a freak and by far, the absolute most talented and down to earth kid in the comp. what a gun he is. Could and should be his last game for the club (should be playing district).

What a final series. The best of all time. We were made to absolutely earn this and we fought and fought and fought. Back to back in our 50th year. What a year. What a club.

I've always bagged Greg as captain, but **** me what an effort from them and what an effort from the plympton boys. What a weekend.

Dropping Brad Christie I'd assume. Obviously hard fitting in 12 into 11 with Luders coming back in Round 11.
