Sometimes I wonder what goes thru your head marbles. Or did I just answer my own question? Goolwa would competitive at about Div 4 up.

ha yeah mate its marbles only on my mind 8)

looking ahead to round 1 its great to see the 'MATTHEW FLINDERS CUP' will start the season.

Flinders park vs flinders uni

Could this be the new comers 1st win in div 7 or will uni rise in 2012?

Wont be 'game of the round' IMO. Angle vale vs north pines should provide best entertainment if pines hav got the goods to be a contender...

We play Angle Vale round 1 mate. We then have SHOC round 2 so after the first 2 rounds we should know where we are at. Although it doesnt get any easier as I think Div 7 will be a tight comp this season.

Heard tonight Flinders have picked up afew in all grades, and players have come down to cs and ds, so i wouldnt mind some odds for parks to win 7 and 7r.They will smash flinders uni in round 1 in both grades and get off to a great start.

i wouldn't be to too fearful of shocs this time round mate. They'll still be good but not unbeatables. Angle Vales well u never know what they'll bring. If Pines can be a contender and get past Vales and Shocs in some close ones, they could be on top sitting pretty, 2 & zip after round 2.

its funny how the new baby side of the comp has been lined up against the least fancied side to start the season. bit of a conspiracy there i reckon!

=)) Mate any team that wins the comp by 10 goals the previous season have to be out right favourites, I dont care who they have or have not lost. They are the bench mark. Angle Vale have brougt in more players than they have lost so with the natural progression of their list (which I understand was quite young) will hold them in very good stead. A change of coach maybe just what they need to make the next step? Any talk of us being 2 and zip at this point, against those 2 teams, is a pipe dream. Not saying we dont expect to win or at the very least be competetive but at this stage of the season there is a lot of unknowns about all teams.

The unknowns are the C grades Bigshow82. When the A's and B's are strong then so are their C's. Vales are status quo from last year, Shocs have lost plenty, but beware the teams that treat them with no respect, Parks have recruited 20 new players, who knows how good, Pines were fantastic in the 2nd half, TTG have picked up bigtime and they were top 3 until round 17 in 2011, Henley are coming back and they are a Div 1 club, Flinders Pk were undefeated in C3 in 2011, Smithfield played Div 5 in 2010, Modbury have an incredible number of juniors who will benefit from time against the men, and Flinders Uni will also develop under a coach who took over last year under difficult circumstances. You are so right, Div 7 will be a cracker.A place for good clubs to develop ,and hopefully go upwards, and a place for young pups to strut their stuff and develop in a disciplined environment. All of which I saw in 2011. Good luck to all.

All it gives is depth Carey. The one thing lacking from 2011. The quality is yet to be determined and certainly does't put you in a GF.

Ran into North Pines coach at the shops today, reckons they will struggle, and be lucky to win a game. (is that what you wanted me to say Bigshow????) ;)

He did mention an absolute gun they signed for the midfield from a Div 1 side, will dominate! But guess it is only 1 person, may need some help or maybe not from what I've heard ;)
