CD Sale

Postby zipzap » Wed Apr 18, 2007 10:37 am

Succumbed to those annoying ads and went to the showgrounds to check out the CD / DVD & Books sale.

While there is a LOT of landfill, there are also some winners to be had.
I picked up nine CDs (inc Kaiser Chiefs, The Bravey, Rolling Stones, Editors, The Rapture, The Dears etc) for under $50.
Rack after rack...not bad.

Some of the books seemed very good, but the DVDs are all pants.

i went a couple of weeks ago. i got a couple of books, one on 9/11 and the teddy whitten book of the bulldogs.

the cds werent too bad, did you see the sign where you could only purchase one of the rolling stones packs.

i thought that was harsh it would have made a good item for e-bay if you could get multiple without having to go back in and out.

If you go for the books, like I do...

Wait for the last couple of days.

That's when they do the 10 books for $20 deal...

I bought Aftermath & Between the Buttons. Great packaging and a steal at $5. They had Satanic Majesties also but I already have it. All the good ones like Let it Bleed & Beggar's Banquet must have sold out early.

When are the last couple of days? It has always been today and tomorrow only, and that lasted about a week.

Funny you mention that. I was watching dumbfounded as a slack-jawed dog-man and his wife/sister/mum were pawing over which ones they were taking home to their cave that evening. I nearly retched.
