Ring him and during the conversation ask if his rash has cleared, that's what I do when people put me on speaker phone, I hate it.

Or do what Eddie Murphy did in Beverley Hills cop...HERPESIMPLEX 10.....

People who ring my direct line asking if we have any vacant positions (alls fine so far), then when I say politely "No, not at the moment" they slam the phone down, killing my ear drum. Destined to fail

Had that last year for our footy Semi. There was one spot and three of us going for it. In the end I took the spot, and a guy that played more A grade through the year missed out. Felt like a piece of shit coz I knew how I wouldve felt if it happened to me.

Try getting left out for someone who missed the second half of the season... :D

Not that I'm still bitter or anything, well over it. :D

One of the reasons I left the previous SAAFL club I played at to come and join the GG Kookaburras for my brief stint there was for a very similar reason...

Played the majority of the year in the B Grade with about 3 A Grade games mixed in there (Including one A Grade game where I sat on the pine for 3 and half quarters before getting a run in the last 10 minutes when we were getting pumped anyway !!!) and was named amongst the better players in the B Grade Preliminary final.

Selection came round for the Grand Final team and I was named as first emergency for the big one. If that wasn't enough to p!ss me off, the club bought in an older guy who played a heap of games for the club at my expense. Only issue was that he has a dodgy groin and already had 2 injections the morning of the game.

Well, low and behold, he could hardly run and had to come off in the first 5 minutes of the GF to not return to the field for the rest of the game. Boy that gave me the sh!ts BIG TIME !!!

Anyway, end of rant !!!
