RAY DAVIES
AVO music session, Switzerland
His mother and father had sex way back in later part of 1943
Ray jumped into this world in 1944
In the 60s, when music was at its soundiest, Ray and the magnificent Kinks performed
Im watching this Swiss performance on IQ
Ray is in his mid sixties, and still sings brilliantly

Ray Davies is my favorite all time singer

The Bends - Radiohead
Achtung Baby - U2
I'd forgotten how good these albums were (still are!)

Mott the Hoople double CD compilation. First time I've listened to Mott the Hoople in many years. Funny they never really took off on this country as they were great ...and quite big in the UK.

Lead Singer Ian Hunter went solo and ended up with that great hit Once Bitten Twice Shy
On Ians 50th birthday I was married !
Mott the Hoople was offered Suffragette City by their mate David Bowie, and knocked it back
The Wham Bam Thank You Maam lyric of Suffragette City ended up a big hit for David, and one of the greatest hits of all time [ in my opinion]
Only seen Matt The Hoople on TV on some old clips

Where didja find the CD LL ?

LAMBERT HENDRICKS AND BAVAN
Live at Newport 1963 vynil album

Borrowed this
Shabby album cover with a price tag of $25 on it
Looks like a raggity album you would find at a Salvos store
But the $25 price tag intrigued me

Im impressed
A rollicky Jazz band with a dazzling array of tunes
Best song is Yeh Yeh, a song later covered by Georgie Fame, it became a smash hit for Georgie in the 60s

If you like Jazz, you might like this band
