In the bag now. Congrats Boof and Harris, two people who should still be involved in SA cricket...
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

It's turning into a great game of cricket with every run absolute GOLD. I've never rated Chris Hartley all that much in the past but his performance in this match was absolutely amazing. We have test players out here struggling to lay bat on ball and Hartley, with a crook guts came out and smashed them around the park for an invaluable 111. He came in with the Bulls at 5/55 and somehow the locals ended up with a lead as Hartley got some assistance from Ryan Harris and Steve Magoffin who made 31 in a partnership which may have decided the shield.

I reckon the Tiges won't score too many after the Bulls break this partnership so Butterworth and Cowan probably need to put on another eighty at a mininum to make a match of this. When the dust settles here I reckon it will be Hartley's magnificent effort that will be remembered as the innings that won the shield. However, the last word of the day went to the stupid rule of letting the UMPIRES, not the players, decide when there isn't enough light. So we had TV coverage, people at the ground, lights on...and no cricket! Little wonder that Ryan Harris (been very grumpy in this game!) and coach Boof weren't best pleased.

The Tigers need some sunlight up here tomorrow but the sun isnt' due to come out here until about June. So for me, it's Queensland's shield.

regards

TA all out 167
QL need 133 runs to with the SS

For TA to win from here one would think that
Mr Jack Bird
Faulkner
Butterworth
would have to do all of the bowling in the last innings of this match to win

Over 41.1: Faulkner to Townsend, no run, OUT, gone gloved down the leg side!! Umpire Fry raises the finger and he has to go, short down the leg side but it does the job!

Getting very interesting now, 4/88.

Faulkner 2/17 off 11 overs

Another gone...Faulkner to be the hero????

Over 41.6: Faulkner to Hopes, no run, OUT, drives in the air to mid off and Ponting driving full length to his left takes an absolute screamer of a catch! This is Game On now, QLD 5/88!. QLD 5/88 (Lynn 4, Hopes 0

He was dropped two balls before......

Over 41.4: Faulkner to Hopes, no run, DROPPED, cut in the air straight to gully and Kruger has dropped it!! That's as simple as they come in that position and the ball slipped straight out!
