Networking

Postby kicks.like.a.girl » Wed Mar 14, 2012 10:39 am

Last week i went to a 'Women in Management' workshop at the Office for Rec & Sport. One of the points we touched on quickly was 'networking'...

For those of you who don't know me... Hi my name is Emma :D As some of you may or may not be aware, I am the Female Football Coordinator at the SANFL. Female Football is the fastest growing female sport in Australia, with SA having a huge growth in the past two years;
2010- 42% growth
2011- 13% growth

I'm looking to become more involved in 'club land' this year as the benefits of having a whole new team (boys or girls) at a local club is HUGE!

... OKAY, trying to get back to my original point

I love using the Footy Forum to connect with people that i can work with to help their clubs by introducing girls footy. For those of you who don't want to hide behind a username, please help me by letting me know;
Which club you're at
&
Your involvement at the club (eg; player, coach, president, etc)

You don't need to say your name if you don't want. I can find that out later 8) haha

If you are based at a regional club (anything outside of Amateur League) i would REALLY appreciate your help as i'm also looking to travel more regionally this year to promote girls footy to the wider community...

I've already made a lot of helpful contacts through SAFooty... please help me, help you/ your clubs :d

I'd just start jumping on the regional forums KLAG, a lot of country folk that don't venture outside of their "home" forum...

Too much :lol:

I play for the Centrals Women's Team... Sit on both the Executive Committee & Board of Management... Ummm, the best way to describe it is, if you can't get in contact with the President i'm your next contact.

Thank MP... i definitely will. I've just found over time that anyone who steers them away from 'their' footy talk in 'their' forum they chase with pitchforks :shock: haha

I hope she's proud Dogwatcher... well, proud of my efforts to round up the troops for the Mouse Cup! 8)

Ahhhh, the Mouse Cup! I hope Mouse Prosser will be there to present the cup to the winner!
I can't convince my wife to go along to that event. We had enough problems with mice last summer. She doesn't want to see another one ever again.

My cat brought a mouse home yesterday, I'm not sure how, considering he has a bell on his collar and is waaaaaay to fat to chase anything :lol:
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

I suggest you start a thread asking for marketing tips as well if you think a dead, flamboyant bell wearing mouse should be the face of women's football in SA. :)
