After being 1/80 after 14 overs chasing 174 we really should have coasted to a win. However, the Bulls really outplayed us from that point on and thoroughly deserved their win. Matthew Weaver and Tim Cronin bowled superbly. Yes, there were a few stinkers of decisions given but we should never have got us into the position that one or two decisions could concern us.
Anyway, now onto the two-day comp and hoping that our batting shows a bit more resilience.
Cheers
Hopefully you are talking about Mickan being absolutely plumb first ball. Disappointed, saying congratualtions and then talking about poor umpiring. I suggest all those that think Cullen was not out book a optomotrist appointment this week, from the Bulls lads, hitting middle half way up. Anyway winners can smile, losers can do whatever they like. Probably bottom line is that TTG put the squeeze on and you were unable to handle it - finals do that.
Bulls Forever, you must have been watching the last wicket with all those pissed wankers in the Bradman Stand, or you were one of them! Cullen was hit that high, it was a disgraceful decision. TTG deserved to win, no doubt, but having a cheap potshot at Bulldogproud (one of the fairest blokes going around), maybe that sums you up as a bloke!
You guys enjoy the break, now you just have to learn how to play 2 day cricket! One A Grade flag (17 years ago) is a pretty ordinary record by any Club!!
Gee Willo, that hurts, I know Bulldog very well and respect his ability and his role with WT, he is a true WT supporter. But to throw mud at TTG supporters is very much ignoring the role of the WT supporters in front of the scoreboard, who had a fair bit to say to the TTG players. I think I would take the version of the players rather than someone who was watching from the outer, such as yourself. Lets face it, there are people who never think they are out and some of them are pretty much well known in the Grade ranks. Anyway good luck with your imports in the 2 day stuff. Gee let me think about that, you bag TTG for not winning many 2 day premierships. I suggest you look at your clubs record. Won one a couple of years ago and even with your all star import teams of the 70's and 80's you won didlly squat, oh let me think even more, it was one of your imports that won you the flag a few years ago, gee didn't he learn his cricket at TTG. nEVER LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF A SEEMINGLY IMPRESSIVE POST.
I never mentioned players thinking they were never out. Said the Cullen decision was a shocker, 99% of people at the ground agree, only the absolute one-eyed TTG supporters like yourself could not see that!
As for bagging West Torrens record, I would not go there if I was you. Several other Clubs could have a go, but TTG - give me a break!
Maybe you should have a look at how your Juniors are run, the BANK SA Coach and Team Manager were a disgrace when they were due to play West Torrens, telling their kids we are better not playing and getting a draw, knowing they would lose if they played. Even moved to a hard wicket and were still too soft to play. The laughing and carrying on by the group when the umpires sided with them summed up that group. Karma won in the end as they got the harder semi, and West Torrens go on to their 5th GF win in the last 6 years.
Anyway, enjoy the off season once again, finals for the "real" cricket about to start!
