Feltus scoring runs in the lower order and, 2 Figallo's & Daniel bowling tight lines has seen them become a great all-round side...............Oh and that Bedgie lad goes alright too.

Agreed, think the beauty of our line up is the faith and confidence that the side all have with each other and the fact that each player knows their role and is able to contribute to the team. We are fortunate to have a good balance this year, and without having any stand out superstars, we have a team committed to achieving results and working together.
Oh and that Bedgie lad will join other former A grade players in Luke Flannigan, Michael Feltus and Jamie Harrison playing Grade 3 in the finals, making room for Jayden Broadstock who has been in scintillating form this season.

I wonder if the Carmen's will bowl to Rosie's all day
Considering that Rosie's made over 300 against
Angle vale (Carmens 11) when they meet last round?
Also any news on j.davies and his knee will he be 100%
For the finals?

Given that you have Westies as your club shouldn't you be telling us?

Absolutely I can, all 4 teams will be in the finals therefore its open selection, and I have played in the B grade this year and would've played more had our full side been available each week.
I'm committed to helping the side as best I can reach the Grand Final.
More importantly, whoever meets Rosies in the Grade 1 semi should be a bit worried, with a batting line up that is beginning to fire and the likes of Matt Feltus coming in at 8 and hitting runs after the likes of Brookes, Stamatovich, Jenner, Jenner, Figallo, Broadstock have batted its a bit imposing - its no Salisbury West though, but still solid.

Then to have a bowling line up that will look like Kent, Figallo, Figallo, Jenner, Broadstock, Stamatovich it has a lot of balance and variation and more importantly experience.

I also believe Leon Kent has been working over time on his bowling and his run up to gain more consistancy and regather that golden form from earlier in the season coming into the finals. There is a focus for him to bowl longer spells at a constant intensity earlier on the innings and then to be brought back into the attack much sooner during the middle parts of the innings to apply greater pressure to the opposition.

I think you guys lack variation without you, the only difference between 2 Figallo's and Jenner is the height the ball is delivered from, all bowl tight lines and full, it is however classic Grade 1 bowling.
Kenty is the exception with that bit of extra pace and more varying lengths, I think you play an important role in your bowling attack, you obviously have enough batting depth.

Although variation is good I think there line and length is there
Key bowl tight lines like they do and sooner or later the batsman
Will get themselves out! Let's face it it's worked for them so far!

I think it's worked for them by having Bedgie in there, picks up wickets from opposition taking him on.

I agree. You need a decent spinner. A spinner is a better option than the same medium pacers in the higher grades. Most quicker bowlers are roughly the same at the end of the day except for the express bowlers who dont fall out of treees.

How do people rate virginia's chances in the semi if they play salisbury west? If they lose this game is that a hinderance or a help to their chances next week? They are salisbury wests bogey side after all..

After flogging us stupidly the previous round I'm prepared to give them some respect, all it takes is one or two to stand up and score some runs and their bowlers to bowl some tight lines.
Secca's bowled extremely well against us aswell as Jonny, our 3 best batsmen got out for ducks all playing defensive shots.
Being Westie's bogey side would give them some phsychological advantage too.

Does it though ? If they're counting on Tsimiklis to make 80odd against us in the same manner again, they're in trouble. I would never have played cricket again if he made a hundred that day.

LOL. I must say it came as a huge surprise for me.

Jonny, Al, Beau, Joss, Secca's and Bas are all capable, even Jonny's dad got runs against us though, our bowling stocks were no comparison to yours.
