Why waste another year with that BS style of football.

You should be happy, one less team to keep you out of the finals ;)

Following players would push for league spots who didnt play yesterday or played in the reserves:

Birss
Caruso x 2
Hartlett
Poynton
Beech
Hill
Green
Rankine
Westoff
S Ezard
Willets
MacCreadie
Bricknell
Rowe
Dean
Blesing

plus a number of others. Brad Crouch will be with us all year too.

If anyone is watching the 18s Eagles v Port game, can they let me know how Sam Rowland and Chad Ruiz go today?

You saw him Saturday NM, he didn't look 125kg did he?

I think he looks solid but not 125kg, maybe 100-110kg perhaps?

I doubt Cockshell has been close to 100kg since he was 12.

I think he arrived at Alberton around 117kg and he has played the last couple of years at 112 or close to, so he has a little to lose, but i wouldnt think that would take long.

It's very hard to understand what you should take out from trials. Are Port the real deal? Are Westies the same old again? What was the strength of the sides that were put out on the park on the weekend? I'd like to hear from supporters of all clubs that competed in trials on the weekend. Tell us your thoughts...

I dont take trial results seriously, especially the earlier ones. No one is going to go full strength for the first few weeks.

Trials mean stuff all. We lost to South by a similar margin last year and we came out and won 6 of first 8 games (or something like that) before falling away after that.

Both sides had players missing but Ports depth & game plan looks better at present, pretty simple really.
Port played a play on at all cost attacking game while West were more interested in defending the onslaught & forgot that you have to attack to kick goals & win a game of footy.
I think West are alot better than what they displayed Saturday & Port are definately a side on the improve with finally a player like Wilson straightening them up.
Finals for Port definately is my tip.
