Skills, as expected for this time of year, are a little rusty but both sides struggling to find targets inside 50...

North look to be playing a few extra men behind the ball which in turn means Norwood have got free men back in their defence...

As mentioned, a fair bit of back and forth with no real scoring opportunities arising for either side...

Norwood totally controlled the ball that quarter but at times were wasteful going into the forward fifty.North's defence has been under the pump and held up well in the first term with Norwood's inaccuracy costing them on the scoreboard.

George Thring was finding plenty of the ball while Luke Ivens and Mitch Clisby had solid first terms but where much quarter in that second term, as was the whole side with the Legs dominating.

Former Eagle Stuart Hill did a couple of nice things in defence but the Roosters have struggled to handle the forward line pressure from the Legs and struggle to get the ball past half forward.

Norwood were much better in that second term and it was a couple of youngsters that impressed. James Aish looks comfortable at this level and Kristian Roocke has done a few nice things including that great snap goal.

Melbourne recruit Michael Newton is presenting well at half forward, Ben Warren hasn't really got into the game yet while new comer Nathan Batsanis had a couple of good moments in James Gallagher's old number 4.

Legs new skipper Keiran McGuinness picked up from his B&F winning season in 2011 and has clearly been the best player on ground in my eyes.

Will be an interesting second half...
