Just wondering why the mycricket fixture has Encounter Bay vs Pt Elliot in A Grade (the final minor round game) being played at Elliot oval.

I reckon I previously saw it listed at Mt Compass, and assumed it was a typo.

I know the AFL pre-season game is on there on the 10th March? Is this the reason for the shift? The pitch too hard for footy.

Can any Enc Bay or Elliot boys confirm?

game had to be moved due to the afl game. the afl curator wants no cricket for 3 weeks before the match so the grass will grow and the clay will soften on the wicket.

Well done to Enc Bay for winning the T20, they are also hosting the 'Fuller Cup' Sunday against Mt Compass in a 50 over game starting at 10am. Get around it fans should be a good game, although Compass,s record has been great in this fixture, but theres nothing like playing and beating the Bays!!!! :goodman:

Whats going on between Mc Laren Districts and Aldinga?? Hear that Chambers and Schofield are wanting to move clubs??.. People talk to me is this true and if so why?? Bit late to transfer isnt it? AND if the league doesnt approve, how welcome are they at Aldinga... Neg,s!!

Stay solid fans and see ya after the break!!

I heard that Schofield is a done deal & that Aldinga are being difficult with Chambers as he isnt financial with the club. Also heard that Hamish Robertson was reported on Saturday in the game against Goolwa? Can any one shed some light on what occurred there? I think that Hamish just needs to concentrate on his on field performances & maybe block everything else out because he is one of the most talented bloke ive seen, he definitely has the skill and ability to win a few cricketer of the year awards over the next few years!!!

Yes was reported after an incident with a goolwa player. After i was targeted by a cheap shot of poor words from the batsmen at the time and square leg (jake kuss) also the brother of my long time girlfriend, i had a few things to say. i was reported for swearing at a umpire and at that time the square leg umpire was just another goolwa player set out to raz me up,.. well it worked and i wasted 20 bucks fuel, peoples time and my time to be repremanded over what is only called a bit of sledging that was blown up to be bigger than it was,.. on to a brighter note f*ch me this forum has got sad!!

Hello everyone!!! Played in the league for a couple of years now, and have never heard of a club having points won...then stripped off them before!! Serious!! Heard they had plenty of warning though!!! Neg's!!

Gives Pt Elliot the VERY slight chance of playing finals.. i said slight R.C.Q... And in the B grade Enc Bay are if ive read the ladder right are a strong chance to slip into the top four..thats a dangerous team that would certainly challenge if they do make it!!!?

Going to be a cracker finals series folks!!!!!!!!!!!! Go.....

Later!! ;)

might have been handy having Port Elliot getting the Outright victory against the Districts last week would have been a showdown for the finals spot,
Willunga didnt pay their Club fees of something, they will probably get them back through, the "Powers to be" of the association have always had a "Soft side"

Willunga.

Word is their treasurer neglected to pay the affiliation fees? (stand corrected) and as such lose the points they gained for the time the fees remained unpaid.

Happy to be corrected by any Willunga guys on here.. does this affect their percentage, or is it just match points?

Certainly makes the narrow avoidance of the outright in Pt Elliot vs McLaren last week VERY important!

This is nothing new WIW24... Season 2010/11 Compass last 3: Willunga, Myponga, Goolwa!! There is no doubt that Compass always seem to get a generous draw come the business end of the season... they are the Collingwood of the GSCA!!!

Question has to be asked.. Who is more powerful Bob or Eddie??? Or do both hold similar statures in their respective kingdoms?!?!

couldnt agree more tony. elliot have a slight chance of finals. needing to chase down 194 against the bays. makes me wonder why hamish robertson wasnt playing on saturday? with the side needing a win to make it you would think that they would have the best cricketer in the comp in the side. can any one from port elliot enlighten us as to why he was a no show?

on another note, well done to nashy, tonning up on saturday. excellent cricketer over a long period of time and good bloke to boot.

I spoke to a few of the Bay lads Saturday night & they seem to think that Hamish is a tad scared of facing the heat of Moules & Butler, apparently he hasnt played against them in about 2 years, every game that Pt Elliot play the Bays he is either sick, injured or "resting"... & to answer your question R.C.Q, I heard that Hamish tripped over his washing basket early Saturday morning & tore his hamstring...

Wasn't Willunga's last three that year Compass, Goolwa & Myponga Jimmy?

What about 09/10 when Bays & Aldinga finished 1st & 2nd ... Compass played both in the last 3 rounds. That year McLarens only played those sides once with the Bays game being washed out. McLarens slipped into fourth in one of the closest seasons ever ...

I think you'll find it is mere coincidence rather than planning or bias on Bob's behalf ....

I wouldn't know... but with Willunga only losing the one game last year and that being to Goolwa in that game, it would seem that they hard the far more difficult run home... :P

I've never said Bob has bias just merely making the connection between Eddie and the AFL... Unless you believe Eddie has bias then you may have answered your own question.

If Bob is Eddie though, what would that make Gav Smith?
