We went out for 10 overs on sat because as we all know ya just never know what could happen..also there is nothing better than centre wicket practice against 2 of the beyter bowlers in the comp.... looking at the ladder i cant believe angle vale sooked it up because they had to go out for 10 overs, so fired up that they tried bouncing everyone instead of trying to get valuable points..possibly could of got a point as we were sending in the lower order anyways..to top it off at the end of the game i heard bob carrying on like a old woman, does that explain why the carmens were getting away with 6 inch no balls? i wont bag a umpire for there decision making but to be standing out in the middle as a official and not liking a decision we make is not good enough when some of there decisions can change games, he is payed good money to umpire a game of cricket and should do that, not unite with our opposition.. Speaking for myself i think things like that can influence decisions in bigger games..

Agreed and at the end of the day they get good money to umpire 70 overs in a day which doesnt happen very often (apart fropm week 1 of 2 day day games) so stiff sh!t for the umpire. if he left work early would he still get paid???
I think not

Agreed, would hate to see someone snick up in a grand final and not be given!

95% of the time teams take the overs/ time allocated for the match, Russ took 5 overs against us in round 1, Westies took 11 overs that they were owed, it's not overtime, it's match time, if they don't want to be out there we should look at changing the format.

I get your point mate, 70 overs is 70 overs, anything less is a bonus for them.

Most games in the top 3 grades go the full overs allotted as there are crucial points on offer and can mean the difference at the end of a season.

Don't get me started about umpires and the standard of umpiring has fallen away dramatically in the last few seasons. The guy we had on the last game was nothing short of a disgrace, I know we all make mistakes but to miss 3 caught behinds in a row is an absolute disgrace and changed the game. The same umpire does not know the super sub rule and was going to allow the guy being subbed out to play day 2.
If they don't know the rea they shouldn't be out there, simple.

Change what format? it works fine as it is...because its normal to want the most out of a game..funny how the top 2 sides are your examples though..

Hey, I like the format and believe that you should play the whole 70 overs, we missed out on finals by 4 runs earlier this millenium.
Yeah, top two sides the example, AV & Shano called it about 8 overs early, CU there was about 20 overs to go, Gardens there was only 1 over to go, Virginia we had no choice, you guys and Westies were the other two.
