we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one

I believe Mawson Lakes requested triple headers and didn't get one. Didn't even get put in the C grade div most Div 6 clubs are in. Looks like a fair bit of ringing around fir them![/quote]

We were the same. Requested triple headers with our C grade but all their home games have been scheduled when the A's and B's are away and it is going to be near impossible to get this to work unless we are able to negotiate some changes with other clubs. Not sure on the process from here but all I know is it will be a hell of a lot of work for our committee to try and get games changed now.

Uni going up to div 8 would alleviate the bye in that grade but open up byes in c1 and c3 - having said that it doesn't bother (as coach of a uni lower grade side) if we did this year as teaming around all year with our c3 side (aka the scum) would be a heap of fun.
But I don't believe it will happen this year.

Sorry i should have mentioned that the gaps that Uni would cause going up to stop the byes. A Higher performing side from the lower grade takes Uni's spot and so on. Looking at it, it would mean C7 would suffer drastically so i dont think that woud be the case. unless C7 was disolved into another grade etc

Pretty sure C7 is a seperate entity and isn't aligned with rest of the C divs.

Come on gents, give him a break he is a Port supporter theyre a bit slow ;)

Mate C7 is the competition for the mentally/physically impaired. The teams that are in C7 have been for a few years now and do not compete in other divisions. I think there are some modified rules but im not too sure.

Cheers mate. To be honest i had no idea that was the case. Would have simpler to have it put like that in the first place instead of the smart a$$ comments but hey thats what you get i spose. Im one of the few Port supporters with tetth so i guess im the upper side of the cause.

C1
Adelaide University
Gaza
Goodwood Saints
Old Ignatians
Ovingham
PHOS Camden
Rostrevor OC
Salisbury North
St Peters OC
Walkerville

looks like a very competive comp in c1
not sure what times we play or if this is the final draft but if it is and any of the teams were looking at making triple headers for their clubs, please let me know early
it doesnt worry us when or where we play since we are only a one team club but we would love to help other clubs maximise their volunteers, staff, bars, canteens and crowds where ever possible
just feel free to PM and we will see what we can do to help

Sounds like more clubs want triple headers, than not. Why don't the league make the draw as that and the clubs that don't want them they can organise to change them. We where told with this new "c" grade comp we could still have triple headers, even it meant playing a different team.

Most clubs have embraced the triple headers and prefer them, so I would think the league should fixture all C grade games at triple headers, then if you dont want them organise differently. I would cater for the majority, not the minority.

FFS, the League has left it up to the clubs to organise it if YOU want to do it
If the League organised it for you, you'd be bitching about it (as you have on here)
Anyone got a phone out there? :)]

Are you sure about that? I heard the league may be slotting in triple headers by themselves.

Also....no bitching going on here, I want them to organise it as we want it. Was just saying to cater for the majority, not the minority who cry about it.

Jimmy quick question mate, whats the go when a clubs C grade has 7 games programmed for the same ground and same time as the clubs A grade?
Is the C grade fixture locked in or still getting worked on?

Don't get to caught up in what is in there at the moment as it is still being worked on

Wait till you get the official version from the league

Should be early next week, due to some sides pulling out and some system errors
