He would've copped less sledging playing cricket on Saturday aswell.

Would have got more sledging at cricket actually, was pretty quite, epidural works wonders.

Thanks mate, little dose is doing very well and didnt want me to play on saturday, so i stood at first slip on a different venue. Maybe it was good i didnt play, pretty poor effort making only 41, got have blokes standing up, otherwise we may well get relegated.

If you guys bowled AV out for 200ish & Virginia scored around 300 & won outright it would something like this.

Westies a billion
Rosies 117
Vale 105
Virginia 103

Which would leave Rosies to play Gardens, Vale to play Units & Virginia to play Westies in the last round.

Sals west v virg should be a good semi, with the recent record virg have over them, and the form both teams are in...the worst thing virg could prob do is beat westies in round 14, westies don't lose 2 in a row to often.

Can't see why, they were having a great season the highlight being the rained out draw.

Not much said today so I'l get a topic going

Best Player Of Season A.Carmen - By a mile, Mr Consistent with bat and ball

Most Improved side Salisbury West - Taken game to a new level this season

Under Achievers Smithfield - Lacked consistent effort week in week out, has potential to be in the top 4

Relegated Favourites Parafield Gardens - Just not a grade 1 side this year & One Tree Hill - Unluckily from final match result

Grand Finalists Salisbury West & Rose & Crown - Both deserve to be there, 2 best sides during the season

Champions Salisbury West - In a classic Grand Final by to great sides

Best Future Talent Tie between S.Wellington (Sals West) & B Woodward (Cent Unit)

Im going to be different for arguements sake :P
Statistically A. Carmen has been the best player, however its important to note that of his runs - his 3 tons and 1 of his 50s has been scored at home on a medium sized ground that is arguably the fastest and best value in the comp.
If I were a batsman of note, I would be disappointed if I didnt score 500 or 600 runs plus in a season on that ground. Take nothing away from his efforts of course, still need to punch out the runs but I believe the best player this year would either be Willie Sewell or Daniel Jenner. Both have consistantly been good against all teams and all grounds particularly Sewell who has seldom got his team off to a positive start at the top of the order.

Most improved side, well Salisbury West have definately been amazing this season as always, but One Tree Hill for mine have proven to be the big improvers, especially after the end of last season and during the off season the reports they would struggle to even get a side up it seemed!
Also Rose & Crown (bit biased perhaps lol) but although haven't set the grade alight, have had to call on half of last seasons Grade 4 side to re-stock the A grade after losses of McCarthy, Burden, Mitchell, Morton, Harrison and Stamatovich for a part early in the season.

Hard to go past Salisbury West as champions, and in all honesty thoroughly deserved after a thus far flawless season.

Best future talent - Woodward & Wellington will definately be players of the future, there really weren't a great deal of other new young players to Grade 1 who have had such an immediate impact. Im hoping in the coming years a young lad at Rosies by the name of Jayden Broadstock can join that list. 18 years old and weilds the bat like a deadly sword, striking the ball with great purpose and impeccible timing but has failed for consistency and patience although has shown rapid improvement this season. Also an amazing fielder and a handy bowler.

How will sides in Grade 2 fair coming up next season?

People forget that Willie Sewell is still only 18...

My future talent is Trav McIntyre.... Will be the best of the bunch by a long way. The 15yo has held his own opening the bowling at times during the year and bowling spells to the better players in the comp at times. Has also made some good runs batting in the middle order.....young fella can bat thats for sure.
