Put the ODI's on the Saturday and the final on the Sunday, surely the Sunday is the most logical day to have the final.

And listen to cricketers whinge about an odi on a Saturday? And have the Australian team back up 2 days in a row? Won't ever happen.

With australia playing? Not often. Even less often if it is dictated by a domestic match.

Don't think he'd want to take the place of someone who had played all season, but you never know. May take Cosgrove's spot.

Can someone post a link to the story where Ponting actually says "I want to play in the Ryobi Cup final" because so far, all I've seen/read is he will be thinking about it.

If Ponting plays, an extra thousand through the gates I think.

I'll give the great man a standing ovation. ;)

Wonder whether the SACA will regret their open gate now, might have got a decent crowd now that Ponting is likely to play

Only reason the opened them was to give people no excuse not to go as probably that most that want to are not able to because of Cricket Australia's ridiculous scheduling....

Wouldn't pick him on his current limited overs form. You'd get more runs drafting in Cam White...
