if they had it on a Sunday people would be more interested in the Australian one day internationals, and that would keep people from going. They could stay home and flick between games and because it's now in Adelaide some people will chose to go to the nab cup rather than cricket

I get scepticism, but they've been impressive after the early effort in the field.

And the scheduling was done pre-season, with little other option. Friday and Sunday wouldn't work as there are ODI's scheduled, any other weekday would be silly as no one is then available.
