just had a look at the live stream from hobart, how green is the pitch ffs, is there any reason why they produce greentops every match?, bet if they host the final it wont be a minefield

What would you rather them produce pitches like Adelaide that are roads, if two other states played on AO it would be 4/555 dec vs 5/524!

Its always like that.
Its the reason Cowan chose to move there, he felt his batting would improve by playing on minefields every second week.
Good on them for producing decks like this, would love to see the SACA take note

Last season games in Hobart, team totals all innings

196
254
271
2/214

251
55
117
416

108
255
258
0/106

233
266
351
5/319

74
353
209

If my figures are correct :
167 wickets
4306 runs
25.78 average per wicket

First Innings totals only exceeded 300+ runs once for the season
One may conclude that the pitches were green early to increase the chance of outright wins
Most games teams made more runs in the 2nd digs

Then the SS Final in Hobart
NS 440
TA 453
NS 5/215
TA 3/203

1311 runs
28 wickets
46.82 per wicket

There was an extra day in the final
So perhaps that is a factor for bigger scores ?
Or the curator made it batter friendly for the home team as a draw was suffice to win the SS
Draw your own conclusions

I reckon Stampy is spot on with his post

If we're looking for a new top order player, why not give Liam a game?

Agree with those comments. Although I thought S. Marsh went alright last week. It just goes to show the guy needs some first class cricket.

I also thought Watson has started of ok considering the cricket he has missed. Good sign so far, lets hope he continues to get back to it.

Haddin, well what are you going to do, Wade is doing all the right things at the moment.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Hell, Haddin shouldn't even be the gloveman for NSW at this stage, Peter Neville light years ahead, so is Triffit from Tassie (and he's their second choice keeper), Carters from Vic (and he's Wade's back up).
Sorry Brad, you missed out on your prime because of Gilly, but your run is over.
