i wasnt talking about you executive member, sorry for the confusion [/quote]

No probs but I will defend my fellow members as there is a lot of knowledge of real club people on the board
Sure it's skewed towards D1 & 2 but I keep them honest
Seriously though they have a great grasp of the league as a whole

smart one bloozebrother, not the best person to tell to worry about her own league, she knows more about every grade of the league than the executive members of the SAAFL do, i think you should grow up.

I think we've all moved on now bluedemon - let it rest and mind your own business

I still believe internal improvements from current players is just as important as external additions and anybody who does not think so, does not know footy.

very good point, if you've got a team of 20-24 year olds the improvement just from that group should see a defintive improvement for the next year. add to this a couple of experienced older players and you've got a recipe for success IMO. not to mention the positive club culture it creates where players will want to stick around and play with the blokes they've played with for three or four years

Amen.

Watching the improvement in six months from a few of the young lads is impressive. Amazing what a solid fitness base can do for a player.

I believe training has a lot to do with it as well. Some people treat training as a joke. I have seen guys who cant complete 2 warm up laps but expect a game each week because they have been at the club for a while.
You have to do the hard yards and earn your spot no matter who you are.
To many people take the easy way out and don't turn up to training or don't complete a session but expect to play.
Easy way to show the new blokes to a club you are serious is to turn up to training. Not when you pick and choose!

Sumner kicked 30 odd goals last year I think, was Woody Sth's 2nd leading goalkicker.

Timmy Sumner will be a big loss if he makes it at the Eagles.
Nathan Pearce not leaving. He got boozed and signed a form on KI, from what I understand!
Waylon Miller played mostly C Grade
Zupanic went back to Kilburn half way through last year. Only played a handful of games for us
No idea who Giang Danh is
Jacob Eamons played 2 B grade games 2 years ago.

Sumner the biggest loss for woody south. Classy small forward.

The others IMO are replaceable.

Martinello also a big loss for lockleys.

By far the biggest name on this list is Shaun Holland to CU :)

Sam Marshall to CLG is a good get, quality player tore us up a couple times last year (including the GF). No doubt would have been playing higher at SHOC this year if he stayed there.

When you get the quality of Holland into D6 and Central United, you know they will be around the mark to win the flag. Champion player, medal winner and was on thousands of $$$ out at Peake, the last few years. Sheer quality and will have to be tagged every week. Must have cost CU a fortune to get the great man to the club.

I'll give some observations and personnel views i have on how this season may take shape.

I must start by saying this is going to be a huge year for this division IMO a lot like div5 last year i believe every game at every stage of the year could well go either way. I dont see many (if any) 20-25 goal a$$ whoopings.

TOP SPOT- I believe will be a race between WOODY STH and TRINITY.

Woody sth- Speak for them selfs its been well documented they win there last game of last year they play finals they lost and come down. Summner a loss but the bloke from eagles covers him $1.10 fav's for mine.
Trinity- Under the guidenece of new coach Scotty Matthews always around the mark a lot of there young lads are now that year older, Bigger and more experienced and werent far off last year $1.90

3rd-4th- IMO CLG- Central United
IMO both have rights to be fav's for the 3rd spot and believe both have a fair crack at getting it.
CLG have Osborne which is a huge pick up for them Zed after a year under his belt already may just have the lions cracking at the right time. $2.00
Central United Have not picked up as much as people think but what they have picked up is quality. a lot like trinity a very young side last year that probably lacked discipline which Holland wont stand for. $2.25

Fighting out the final spot in the 5 along with 6,7,8
Mawson Lakes, Ingle Farm, Houghton and Lockleys
Mawson lakes are very well lead by coach Riddler, the top core group of players are as good as any but for mine there depth and back 6 could be an issue would not right them off tho. $5
Ingle farm Massive infulx of players which must be said was needed, some will question the quality of these players but i'm more thinking along the lines of this many new players to 1 club will take time to gell although a lot come from 1 club $9
Lockleys Very proud club would not be at all happy with last year and the off field business seem to have lost there most important player although a lot of youth coming through. $11
Houghton Bit dark horse for mine just cause there is no talk on the forum i wouldnt right them off. Heard coach Hunt talk to charges first hand clearly has the respect of the group althoug for mine they lack top tear players. $15

To fight out the spoon 9th and 10th
BOS- Huge names departing Blackfriars still have some reasonable players but the loss of these players for mine has them at 9th. $18
Adel Uni Bit of a unknown for me being a div2 club you just never know what they will front up with but in a very tough even divison someone has to finish bottom. $25
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........
