Looks like the unbeatable Shoes might choke in the big games. Thought Knights shot in the 20/20 final was typical of his arrogance. He had Porties on toast and did that?

Yep...typical response, was waiting for some weasel to make a smart ass comment...chokers blah blah blah

Not giving credit to Porties for how well they actually played and were deserved winners.

What was wrong with Knights shot? Shorty was bowling well so he tried something different, nothing arrogant about it. I suppose Juniors shot was arrogance as well as they both were out LBW.

20 20 is about taking a risk especially when chasing 150 !!! The difference in the match was AJ. Batted brilliantly through the innings for 80 odd where the shoes didn't have that! If knight or scarf played that role it would have been a different result! Ah well congrats to porties on a well deserved win!!

A.J knows how to pace an innings. Shoes were cruising at about 8 an over and he's played a cross bat slog. I'm not saying he's not talented but he plays for himself and appears to not give a sh#$%t about the team. Just an observation, I think that is what forums are for.

Fair enough, it may have looked like a bad shot from where you were viewing, but he copped more that night for the 29 hit off his last over

AJ's innings was well paced...in trouble early but involved in two good partnerships with Dobbo and Wally, but the bowlers did the job restricting Noarlunga to 131... I thought 146 was an average score...How was freak catch by Shorty on the boundary after Wally had dropped it!

I guess the big question is "Will Knight stay at Shoe Land or has he got bigger fish to fry?"
Time will tell but he's only there so he could play Outbacks and he didn't have a very good carnival.

Gee I thought having better players playing in this comp would be a good thing, bit more competition may atttract better players which make a better comp.... But u get one bloke of knights skill play a bad shot in a final and your straight on the sledge..... Not a good look for the league in my opinion

Well said whopper. I'm thinking after seeing a few other innings of knight, that he may have played that shot in any form of the game. Is like Warner, but when doesn't come off everyone digs the boots in. Think he earnt his spot in state country, especially on early form.

Steady on there Spaniard, a bloke looks to up the run rate in a hard wicket 20/20 final and your hot on the sledge on here. I can only assume you've never made a mistake? Never played a bad shot? Bowled a bad ball? Or is it your using your online alias to try and sledge a bloke from behind a computer screen who more than likely has more talent in his excrements than you possess on the cricket field?

If the table below is correct and Morphies and Flaggies both lose, it comes down to who takes more points from the match...Looking at the scores above Flaggies would have 1.8 and Morphies 2.5 points so far and the difference was only 0.06 points going into the last round.

Willunga bowled Noarlunga out for 90, then Noarlunga bowled Willunga out for 89. Willunga needed 2 off the last ball but wasn't to be. Wasn't the most pretty 20/20 you will ever see with both sides having a fair portion of their best 11 out but was a tight hard fought contest which is what you want to see.
The greats weren't great because at birth they could paint,
The greats were great because they paint a lot.
