Just quietly, apart from the 160 runs totalled between us, I really enjoyed the game on Sunday. Just goes to show all those people bagging the side constantly were dead wrong. Good on Carey, GOat Hearder and the boys for having some guts and going with a team for the future and nearly rollling the Turf boys.

Credit to you all.

Ps. note to self.. leave half trackers.

Thanks for your comments PC. It's nice to get some positive feedback from somebody that actually knows cricket and plays it hard, instead of some clueless nobody sniping away from a keyboard. ;) It proves what carey, OB & myself already know - that we're on the right track with a decent nucleus of good blokes & good cricketers in our rep team.

Full credit to you & the ATCA guys on the win. Glad that we were able to give you lads a run for your money in the end, even though I was spewin' when I heard we were rolled for 75. Although I was stuck in hospital, my general message to carey beforehand was for our guys to compete hard, and you never know on any given day how it'll pan out. On paper it was an apparent mismatch, but we all know the game isn't played on paper. ;) We feel we can clean up PDCA & ASCA if we can assemble something like our best side, which we've proven in the past. Hopefully this competitive result inspires more of our upper echelon of players to put their hands up for representative honours.

It augers well for the Carnival later in the year, where I expect to add at least 3 more quality, experienced turf cricketers to our squad, where some tough decisions will need to be made. And that's the way it should be. ;)

Could not keep chooks! ;) IIRC, I had to ask him to tone down his 'cheerleading' at about Day 3, as he was giving everyone a headache - and those were the people on the other side of the oval..

Not that you BIG players of note rate the B grade comp. but I played in my first tie ever saturday Couger. I couldnt make the first week but we got rolled for 110 they were roughly 2/70odd over night and we tied rolled them for 110.

But the reason i post this as our book keeper slash vice captain slash do all the sh!t i dont do guy  informs me that the scores actually add up to us being 110 and them being 107!

Look at the end of the day its no biggy regardless of the result and we got top spot we play Magill this week winner hosts adel. luth and loser hosts Vista. But of course should you finish top and win your semi then you get the home home GF.

Would be a rags to riches story Paralowie even making the GF going from folding to a GF would be a fait effort...

good morning posters. your story has made me realise that clubs shoud have a team scorer. in turf all or most of the better clubs have them. much better than players doing it and making a meal of it because there talking. i will be talking to my club delegate and proprosing a rule to make a scorer compalsrary and it should be called the bara rule. keep on truckin posters.
