All round I'd rank them 2nd. They might not have any in the top 5 but they'd have a fair few in the top 15, they bowl tight lines.
Rosies did bowl exceptionally well against us in the one-dayer though and there's the Carman factor for the Vale.
It's all on the day I suppose.

Time to start thinking of team of the year candidates... Just had a quick look at some numbers and averages.

Mine would be something like -

Sewell
Parkhouse
Jenner D
Morris
McIntyre
Carman A
Scott T
Davies
McInnes
Carman J
Wellington

Not baggin ur selection, looks a very solid side, but just some food for thought; going on stats and averages would there surely not be a place for brad nixon in your side? His stats are really only second to Justin Carmen?
Also your spinner, would Hanisch come into reckoning as he has also offered handy runs with the bat? Again, just a thought?

At over 4 runs per over, they didn't make the cut...

Its Nixon's standout season in Para Districrs by far. If you wanna go with a team of the year then it has to be how they permormed during the year and nixon gets the nod in front of Mcinnes I reckon. Taking nothing away from JMc, he is a great bowler has been for years, just when someone comes out the woodwork and has a season like Brad's, I think he should be rewarded for it.

1 more run per over bowled is acceptable if his average is better and his strike rate is better. Also bowled 20 less overs.

Apart from that tho I'd agree with that and have Jaz as 12th.

Rekcon there might be a bit of a soft spot selection there for OZ. ;)

No offence to OZ, but doesnt that defeat the purpose of team of the year? Sure you might have him any rep side time after time (plus your welcome to play in any team anywhere that i play in (speaking of that what you doing thursday??)), but you are going on seasons performance here, not ability.

Difference is the assoc side is reality and the team of the year is meaningless.... just forum talk.

Nope, Association side should be best players available to rep your association.

Team of the year is a paper thing and should be the best XI from that year.

It's not hard to have an actual team of the year...
Get Colin to be chief selector and have a delgate fromeach club as your panel.. present the thing at PDCA night? Or do you do that already? Never good enough to be invited to one!

People like OZ need 1000+ and 50 wickets to get an invite.
