Most would expect i'm going to come on here and have a go at the people who had a go at us as an ass. side and a few a players as individuals in the side. WELL I'M NOT

Whilst i am dissapointed we lost i am very proud of the way we went about our bussiness. We did'nt bat well we know that and we will endevour to fix this problem but the way we fielded and bowled was the best i've seen at ass. level.

If i was'nt there and seen the score i would've thought wow must of been a bowlers deck well i can assure whilst there was alittle assitance from the deck it was just a matter of both sides bowling very well in good areas.

Adam Gully was fantasic with the ball, Mestroni started the innings off well at the top of the order Ash and Reidy put on a little partnership together in the middle order Harris looked at home on turf, Clarke had some fun late in the innings and bowled well and young Spry did'nt get much of chance with the ball but what he did do was encouraging for the future

If Clarke can do what he did to us in the T20 down at Seaton earlier in the season
still might end up with something half decent

Did Jarrad McLeod and Matty Sanford get a gig? If yes, how did they bat?

Jarrad batted 8 made about 4 did'nt bowl and Sanford was 13th man.

To be fair he will do that against most sides....

Mo Shiek is my call for man of the match here... Very good cricketer.

Oh, Dutchy... Just bowl short to Duff ;)

He did look very good today Oz although he totally changed his game once they started losing wickets defiantly puts the bad ball away though quailty bat.

Superb effort lads!!! So close to pulling of a remarkable win
Gully's spell of bowling was something special.
The ATCA boys must have been very nervous in the last few overs.

I defiantly was not expecting to see such a great game of cricket when I strolled over to have a look.

Who said the churches comp was dead. Plenty of work to be done but lots of positives to be taken out of today

Was a good game to be part of today. Cheers to OB and crew for helping us out today, and thanks to the guys who participated. I thought Smasha had told the curator at Kilburn not to prepare the pitch, as you couldn't pick the where the pitch was when you drove into the ground  At best the pitch was ordinary, and combined with ATCA's tight bowling and excellent fielding, we looked in dire straits to be dismissed so cheaply. The 2 blokes who bowled from the Southern End (Southam and the wicket-taker), I thought were the pick of the bowlers IMO. But the ATCA blokes found the going tough too on the pitch and combined with some poor shot selections nearly gave us the upset we were looking for. Good to see a couple of the ATCA blokes mingle in with us for a beer after the match (Duffett, Southam, Coach Sykes and a couple of others), and I wish them well in their future SAMCA games.

Also remembered 3 other things on the long drive back down to the south/east that i did'nt mention earlier the first being the fantastic job again OB did thank you very much.

The second being the great catch Jarrad McLoud took at 2nd slip to get the 8th wicket

And the 3rd being the terriable not out decision the CCCA umpire gave when ATCA were 8 down needing 7 to win that hit the bloke on the back leg which keeper and bowler both thought was clearly hitting leg stump.....

Sorry Ameretti here i was thinking this was a public forum and we could all speak what we feel like it wont happen again.....

I think you will find the A grade round 10 games will be the same as the first week of finals apart from the game for the spoon being Fitzroy v Seaton.

Rose lakes v Adel Luth and
NEK v Vista

and in the Grade 2

the winner of Paralowie v Magill will finish top and host Adel Luth whilst the loser will finsh 2nd and host Vista.

there was no point in playing on though?

I cant really speak for the great man, but I think "Coss" was more annoyed at not being involved in the decision of calling the game off. That on top of our batting effort probably just set him off...
