I'd be surprised if 100 of last years clash guernseys sold, very, very surprised.

If the Panthers fans each bought 2 then they might have given the century a shake...

Agreed....last years white away guernsey was sharp and looked great in night games. (I also think we won more games last year in it than the all blue guernsey!!)

Cant say Im sold on it yet (will be hard to get used too)......but alot of people will have various opinions. As long as they wear it and win a game of football.....thats all that matters. ;)

Whatever way the club spin it, this is not a heritage jumper, as the original had far more than three blue hoops on it...

It appears the the follks which are happiest are the new major sponsors Angus Securities whose corporate colours of yellow & white would not show up well on last years unverted predominately white jumper. I understand the vital role sponsorship plays in footy clubs but do you sell out your history/traditions for the money?
More annoyed at the clubs BS about staking a claim this jumper is about our history, SAFC has never had a horizontal panelled design before and the sooner it goes the better...if thats alright by the sponsor.

I am sure that my first memories of South are in a horizontal panelled guernsey similar to Geelong's. Is my memory playing tricks?

It had more hoops which were thinner.

I don't see this jumper as heritage .

Robranisgod that was a hooped jumper design with more than 3 large panels as is the case now. A hooped jumper we did have in 1800's-1911 and again for 3 years in the late 1950's. Note the difference between many hoops (eg Geelong & Crows) and just 3 large horizontal panels.

While I didn't mind last years, it was a bit too white. I have no problems with this one. As long as we continue to improve, I don't GAF about these trivial issues
