Blackwood belted Callington
TV belted Gums
Echunga just over Kersbrook
Nairne-bremer beat Maccy
Kangas just meadows
Interesting that Echunga have collected a few guns on the quiet. Also interesting that if echunga coach (micheal Bawden) had been given Hahndorf job (he was 2nd choice). Hahndorf would probably not be struggling for numbers.

I know Daniele from Kangarilla is going to sit out this year and be the runner for Angaston cause Stringer wont let him back out of his contract. Crazy if you ask me cause I would sure think twice about signing with them if your only way to leave the club i to sit out for a year. No point burning bridges - players talk

Kangies also refusing a clearance to the S.F.L...... Kenna told no clearance will be given due to contract for this season ...... The guy lives down south and doesnt want to travel but told bad luck either play or sit the season out ... this is poor form from Kangies ... there is no point keeping a player who doesnt want to be there

Do Kangies still hate Lonsdale because they lost the unlosable grand final in 2001 to them after being undefeated all year and beating them by 27 goals 4 or 5 weeks earlier. Is that why Godfrey the now umpire crusifies them every game. Making a guy stand down from footy because he wants to go to a different league to play with mates, thats a good advertisment for future recruits come play for Kangies and we will never let you leave. Jeez those hobby farmers can sure hold a grudge.

I have heared that Kersbrook are holding back some U17's from going to Barossa Districs. What would the reason be to hold kids back from playing football. This doesn't look good for Kersbrook on how they treat kids.

Kersbrook cleared 5 kids to Barossa Districts but held back 2 as they were unfinancial. When the cheque came from Barossa, they were cleared.

Saw first half of Nairne against Macclesfield and it was a high scoring shootout until then when at that stage Nairne was up 12 goals to 11 goals. Nairne went on to win the game by about 10 goals which is unfortunate for Maccy but I feel they have definitely improved but Nairne have improved even more and i'd suggest with the players they now have that they will be playing in the finals.
A first up BOG for Luke Murphy for Nairne with several other solid contributors and Macclesfield had a few new recruits that all performed but a few of their more reliable players had days that they would rather forget.
After an off the ball incident that saw Macclesfield player Brad Rumbelow need need four stitches in his face, I wonder if the possibility could be explored of having tribunal hearings immediately after the match - while the incident is still fresh in the umpires and players minds? I say this because I'm pretty sure that the umpire saw the incident but as we all know there seems to be a real reluctance to report people.

Shane Mitchell is a dirty little player who chases money. Saw him run up behind ruckman from Nairne and karate kick his legs from under him and then elbowed him in the head as a consequence the ruckman fired up and gave away a 50mtr. He will be no value for maccy because he plays for himself.

Don't have Sunday Mail in front of me mate but Kempster played very well and was named as Maccy's best.
Maccy did have a recruit at Full Forward who kicked 4 from memory and he will provide a very handy target and make a few opposition players think twice before they pop back into "the hole". He was a player that was asked out to Macclesfiesl by the aforementioned Mitchell.
If the above mentioned incident between Mitchell/Dunning did occur, that is certainly not on but I think we all know that it doesn't take much for Dunning to fire up at the best of times.

Did also see the second half of the Meadows V Kangarilla match that Kangarilla won by 6 goals. Very even game 'til the end of the third quarter but Kangarilla came home strong in the last. Both sides looked to be of a similar quality to last year for mine despite the addition of a few quality recruits for both sides.
Having also seen a Meadows trial a few weeks back, Ty Maidment looks to be struggling a bit at the moment for Meadows and I'm not sure whether he's playing with injury or whether he perhaps didn't do the whole preseason.

Kangarilla were very impressive had a couple of stand outs not sure if they were new or not but no 15 on the wing and no 14 in the centre carved up. Anyone know there names?
Also suprised by the Echunga result anyone see that game?

You better check to see if he was financial, as it is the club's policy to clear anyone who doesn't want to play for us, providing they were financial. No point burning bridges, as we can't afford to.

If you were there "ORD" up until half time AND if you were watching you would have seen it. Maybe you only watch the incidents that happen to your boys. It has been a VERY long time since the spider has been carded.
