If the Strikers can get 15,000 for a dead rubber surely cricket fans will get around the Mighty Backs on Feb 25th if it is at the fortress known as Adelaide Oval

Why have they put the final on a Saturday? Would get a bigger crowd at the ground and probably on tv as well.

Bet Foxtel have locked the date in too

If SA hosts it then it will be better on Saturday IMO.
The NAB cup is on in Adelaide on Sunday so the crowds might have been down a little

If that is the case then the crowd will still be lower as people who play cricket can't attend......

And fantastic cricket by Cooper to get us home under pressure, I enjoyed watching it on fox and even more so that we got up, would of been gutted if we lost it after our bowling performance.

I'm a bit of a Coop's fan, especially after I called out to him in a T20 last year when he was fielding and he replied to me :D

There was some eye contact :) I can't remember what I asked him, he was about 10 metres form the boundary and he turned around and answered me, good bloke. It was a more pleasant response than what one of the Hussey's gave me a few years ago at an Australia A match.

Probably cost Glenelg some 25m penalties too

I can recall Ntini from South Africa giving back a laugh or 2 when fielding at fine leg after finishing his spell and the captain bowled himself and kept Ntini at fine leg....

when over in perth i went to a WA v Zimbabwe game.

there was a player for Zim called Hondo... for atleast 5 or 6 overs straight he was near the bounry in front of us so i just yelled "HOOOOOOONNNNNDDDDOOOOOOOO" in the slow style you do..

after the 6th over of it he had a chat to his skipper and was moved to the opposite end of the ground.

was amusing for me.

p.s LM what did hussey say/do?

I can't remember which one it was, it was a Aus A one dayer and they dropped a catch about 1 metre from me, I said "****** hell mate, I would've swallowed that" a quick response came back "**** off you ****** dickhead"
I guess he didn't like my boasting, it was a simple catch and he was probably playing for an international career.

Well if we are telling he said stories...
The score was 8/83 and the very unattractive Rob Quinney had positioned his big ass 5m in front of me and obscuring my vision. So i said...."Hey Quinney, bad news, the rains are coming" Quinney turned around and said...."Lorraine, whos Lorraine, I dont know anyone called Lorraine"
He can strike a ball but he aint real bright the big unit

An afternoon at local footy on the turps with some mates doesn't generally bring out the best in a bloke ;)
