Yeah well pointless coming up with a song when your 12th man is wearing black pants and counting your soccer goals on a ball counter...
Hey plenty of songs get song at the pub.........apparently

Poor fella has only got to bat 4 times this year.

Scored his first run to win the game against united, hit a 4. Then after the game the umpire told us since we only needed 1 to win it only counted as 1.

Depends if they completed the run before it made it to the boundary.

we have come close twice this season and both times it was our inexperience that cost us.. we definately think they can be beaten and cant work out why anyone else hasnt tested them..

We feel like we beat them....no bonus points against us

They didn't. Just stood and watched it race over the boundary.

After a hectic few days and plenty of phone calls an association team has been named. Obviously couldn't get everyone that we wanted for a number of different reasons but nevertheless we have a competitve team.

S.McIntyre (c)
N.Fenwick
R.Hannun
D.Jenner
L.Kent
S.Keylock
J.McInnes
D.McIntyre
J.Morris
B.Nixon
T.Scott

R.Thomas and S.Moss will be the emergencies.

A big thankyou to those who have made themselves available and to John Ashworth for offering his services off field.
A bit more notice next year would be nice and not schedule a game when there's an ODI on in Adelaide could be beneficial. Good on the PDCA for allowing us to take a bus.

Can't see that team taking wickets besides Johnny Mac. No spinner? Suppose you can play Nixon as a spinner he drifts it through the air right? Keylock taking the gloves?

I dont think their bowlers are that bad to be honest, not exactly a serious strike bowler like say Davies but plenty of more than capable cricketers.

Yeah all capable cricketers can tell by there stats, I just don't see them taking wickets against another associations best XI. Just a yard too slow I think.

Scotty has kept well when he's been given the gloves this season, we felt that we needed the extra batsman, would've been nice to have a quality spinner at our disposal, had to go with who we could get in touch with and who made themselves available.

Yeah, if they bowl tight lines we can set fields to it, you guys have been pretty successful this season from bowling stump to stump.

Extra batsman? How about dropping a bowler. You have 8 med pacers. And then johnny.

FTW, let's play a game. You name the bowlers you would have liked to have seen named and LM can advise whether they were available.

We have batsmen that can bowl, better to safeguard ourselves in both disciplines. You previously stated that our bowling will struggle to take wickets and now you are saying we should get rid of a bowler? Wouldn't you think we'd need to have plenty of options if that was the case?

So I guess everyone is gonna jump on the association side again this year!

Most people that complain are either bitter they ain't in it, or were never good enough to make it anyway. That association team is a fair side and I think they will win for sure on sunday. Look at how much everyone blasted last years team and they won.

If you picked the strongest 11 there would be still people complaining.

Get over it!

LM, good luck on the weekend.

why do people always think you have to be quick to get wickets ?
simple game , bowl good line and length and you will always pick up a wicket.
the slower you bowl the more the batter has to think and move his feet.
medium pacers have always had success in all forms of cricket.

You need a couple of genuine fast bowlers just for pure intimidation. I'm not gonna argue. I'm sure that's the best XI that was available.
