Have no doubt that if Bailey wasn't captain, Marsh would've been sent in ahead of him. In his first match as skipper, it wouldn't have been a great look for him the new captain to be relegated down the order. HOWEVER, you have to do what's best for the team in ALL circumstances, regardless of status within the team, and the situation dictated Marsh be sent in before Bailey. We're lucky that poor decision didn't come back to bite us.![]()
For all the tall poppy Brett Lee knockers, I'd encourage you to have a read of his autobiography - you'll gain a greater appreciation for what he's about and what he stands for. To be sending them down at 145-150kmph at 35yo is a marvel in itself and a credit to him for how fit he's gotten himself. Onya Binga!
I wouldn't read it if it was given to me and I was stuck in the dunny for 3 days, I can't stand his pathetic antics, I remember him bowling to Peter Such at Adelaide Oval one day, Such is probably the worst batsmen ever to enter a test arena and all the peanut wanted to do was bounce him or bowl at his body.
His celebrations after dismissing tail-enders when he's been carted all day are nothing short of embarrasing.
