There will be a squad meeting at 1:30pm on Sunday @ Ridley Reserve.
Team for round 1 will be selected Sunday evening. Any players that I have missed are invited if they wish to put their name up for selection.
Contact me for any queries.

Interesting squad.. P. Carmen comes as a bit of a suprise, as does R. Figallo.
N. Brookes hasn't exactly had an amazing season and B. Jenner with the exception of his back to back 50s has struggled also.
R. Hannun most of his runs against Parafield Gardens, has missed a few games and has struggled a bit apart from that.
A. Seccafien has hardly set the world alight since returning.
What about the two lads from Riverside in Grade 2 - Edge & Kinnear? or Matt Bennetts from Salisbury North & Frankie McConnell from EP?

There were 3 people looking into a possible team with a week and a half notice, no fault of the PDCA, had to wait for the games to be scheduled.
A large chunk of the current in-form players are playing under 21's which is on the same day, had to select enough to cover any unavailabilities.
P.Carman: Not setting the world on fire but his capabilities are known.
Brookesy: As above.
B.J: Has had a reasonable year, keeps aswell.
Raed: Scored an 80 odd against Angle Vale too, form hasn't been great but we know his capabilities, good for all 3 disciplines.
Secca's: Has had some tidy spells.

Edge & Kinnear: Obviously will be thought of aswell, when you have 3 B Grade sides in Grade 2 and Salisbury North who are lacking bowlers makes the standard a bit different to representative cricket.
Bennetts: 18 years old, thought he'd be in the U21's.
McConnell: I don't think he's keen.

Hope that clears a few things up for you mate, had to look at players that we KNOW will want to play and have done so before, not an easy task with limited phone numbers and time, a months notice would've been handy, what about you? You keen?

Here's mine.

W. Sewell
A. Parkhouse (wk)
A. Ozolins (c)
A. Carman
R. Hannun
J. Davies
J. Hanisch
R. Figallo
J. Carman
M. Picton
A. Seccafien

I've probably missed a heap of gun players but off the top of my head and without looking at stats this is my team.

I would say the biggest candidate from EP would be Danny Masefield has taken 16 wickets at an average of 12.00 and an economy of 2.17

Against the top side in Craigmore he has taken 10/89 in two games we have played against them. Also against the most destructive batting side in Riverside he took 2/34 getting out Edge and Harris in the 2 dayer. In the 1 dayer he bowled his 8 overs 0/11.

Has proven at div 1 PDCA before and has just come back from a successful stint on Turf at Para Hill which will be handy for games played on the grass.

Was only making conversation  Life would be boring if everyone just agreed to everything ;)
No I wouldn't be available anyway, i'm going away.
FWIW I think that Hanisch is the best slow bowler I've seen in Grade 1 this season and has made some handy scores as well. I also thought Michael Anders from Angle Vale looked alright as well - suprised he has only played the one A grade game this season!

Yes. Also got Picton in there aswell and ozolins that was my best 11 on talent. Not form. And BJ doesn't even keep in his team and he is gonna keep in our association side?

BJ is a better keeper than our current one, but is more value to us in the field and having opened the batting in the one dayers, its a hefty workload to put on someone.
Infact I think our current keeper would actually be ranked 3rd behind Clayton Cameron then BJ... but thats life..

You made valid comments too, it's not that I disagreed with you, I was just saying how it is from the other side of the fence, if everyone was available and we picked the best XI performing players it would be sweet.
Michael's brother captains Angle Vale's B's so maybe that may have something to do with it, Angle Vale don't tend to have much player movement through their A's & B's, perhaps that's been part of their rise in over the past few seasons.

The obvious selection would be parkhouse but he is injured or not available. What about Thomas from cu? Crowhurst?? AV?

Certainly, thought Crowhurst kept extremely well on Saturday, with BJ though, you know you are getting an experienced player who can bat anywhere in the line-up.
As for Thomas, isn't he under 21?

Batting stats don't look great, would go for Taylor from Smithfield if it was purely on keeping skills.
