Judging by the recruiting BDT have done over the last few years with minimal points and their success it might pay to look at our own recruiting slug?
Another youngster we may have burnt and wanted out? Haven't BDT built success around their locals?

In my opinion this is whats wrong with have of the young blokes today. How the hell can you just change clubs inside your own league like this? Its unheard of. No wonder they dont perform on the day against these sides cause they dont really care about there own club winning or losing I'll just play for them next year

I have always thought you needed to be out of a league for a certain amount of time before you can transfer to another club within the league?
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

My mail suggests Peake are poaching Karoondas locals. You would hope not considering these clubs are struggling enough as it is without the poaching of players! Peake rumored to be really struggling as they have just found out lynn, Harrowfield, and co won't be returning !!!

You know me dragon, many a time you've called me Larry Emdur, if the price is right!

But on a serious note, its tough for all clubs in the Mallee with rival comps appearing to be more appealing, you dont need the added pressure of your locals being poached by clubs within the league..

What a joke .... What sorta player would leave there home club for another within the same league ? If there young kids you would be hoping that karoonda as a club are looking after them that they wouldn't want to leave . I'm sure it wouldn't be any of there top line players anyway cause the core group of knighty chinner etc are good club people. But then again peake are well known for recruiting more than there fair share of average players who over the summer are gonna take them from bottom to top.

From what I can gather freo, is that it is a few of Karoondas younger guys which could be lured for some cash! Who knows?? It's only rumors circling around at this stage ! I would hope karoonda are doing everything to keep these young lads cause without a footy/netball club, the town won't have much...

ive heard the same thing about the karoonda boys, but havent those same locals (ruidiger & the zander boys i presume dragon) already had meetings with mannum & east murray,so maybe there just taken peake for a ride. But enough of the so called rumours, i see murrayville hav 6 clearances out.Have karoonda kept any of their recruits from last yr and are most of their signed recruits backmen?peake hav lost gilbertson& lads to the mines??Pinnaroo have a few in from the riverland.Lameroo hav supposed to of picked up Ricky Hunter & lost moffat, chucky benham, wohling?.BDT have got Aaron Richards

karoonda have kept bradley, krezos and stacey from last year. lameroo seem to have a few big outs with also shaun walker supposedly not playing, peake are really battling and pinaroo are a bit of an unknown to me. murrayville have some big outs but also have some ins which i dont know much about.

andrew lippis to Pinnaroo - I played against him in the Riverland and I think he had played for Lyrup, Berri, Paringa & Loxton North during my time in the Riverland. He gets around, not a bad player - just hope Pinnaroo aren't expecting a long term contract!

just a quick word on the so called "poaching of players"thing that seems to go about every ******* year, all clubs are trying to keep their heads above water not just to compete but just stay alive you only have to look at Imperials from M/B they have just signed up their 11th player from the YP comp, when they have the pick of all the local tallent!!! WTF then they have the cheek to have a go at Peake for takeing 2 b-graders 1 a-grader and an x-player from Mypo,Tim Burling gets knocked back for a clearance back to his home club!Whats that all about!Pretty sure he given them good service for bugger all too,I think all clubs MFL and RMFL need to look at the enviroment inside their clubs and make players want to stay!I agree the points system has created a blowout in player payments but sooner rather then later these blokes will need to preform to their money, hopfully sooner than later.
I'm not a coach or would i like to be the way things are now, lets face it these days you probably need a massively over paid coach or a recruiting manager to bring quality players with them to your club to be top 3 in any comp these days or just sling out money to the hired guns or the pretenders!!
Not sure what the answer is for the Mallee but lets just try and work together and call the blokes you know insted of slinging bullshit on here!
All the best for the year , Slug
