The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Missed a trick, Mitch marsh and Dan Christian should have batted before George bailey with only 5 overs left when wade got out

Finally agree on something.

Thought I would give T20 another go tonight, but it's just not cricket.

Australia v India T20 Series

Postby the joker » Wed Feb 01, 2012 10:37 pm

If Mitch marsh is in the side just as a batsman and does not bowl his brother should have played, he struggled in the test series but has been one of Australia's best in t20 and one of the best players in the IPL and the BBL

Heard on the radio that last nights crowd was the biggest ever in Sydney. Was this correct, I know the SCG is tiny but have seen footage and photos of the Bradman era and the crowds were sitting on the oval.

Brad Haddin, thanks for the memories... ;)

Have no doubt that if Bailey wasn't captain, Marsh would've been sent in ahead of him. In his first match as skipper, it wouldn't have been a great look for him the new captain to be relegated down the order. HOWEVER, you have to do what's best for the team in ALL circumstances, regardless of status within the team, and the situation dictated Marsh be sent in before Bailey. We're lucky that poor decision didn't come back to bite us.

For all the tall poppy Brett Lee knockers, I'd encourage you to have a read of his autobiography - you'll gain a greater appreciation for what he's about and what he stands for. To be sending them down at 145-150kmph at 35yo is a marvel in itself and a credit to him for how fit he's gotten himself. Onya Binga! 8)
