Question is, if you were to name who you consider to be the best 3 actors in the world, who would it be?

i enjoy Leo Di Caprio. has been awseome in many movies, but more importantly, i wide variety of roles.

Even though he rarely, if ever, challenges himself, Robert Downey Jr is an outstanding actor.

Off the top of my head:

Leonardo DiCaprio
Merryl Streep
Helen Mirren

The latter two are their for their ability to play well known people and be completely convincing.

I'll think of others later. Matt Damon is always very good. Then there's the supporting actors like Don Cheadle and Christopher Plummer who always deliver.

I just read JK's post and realised I forgot about Daniel Day Lewis. He could sneak ahead of Helen Mirren.

Tempted to throw Jeff Bridges in for my final selection coz he's a favourite, but I think there's probably better out there .. Brendan Gleeson is another favourite whom I rate as quality, as is Spacey.

I think Tom Cruise is a better actor than he is given credit for sometimes. He's not my top 3 but a good actor all the same.
