Just a reminder about SAMCA training tonight ;

TRAININGS FOR SAMCA MATCH 12/2/12 vs ATCA will commence Monday 30th January 2012 at Cedar College, Fosters Rd, Northgate at 6pm.

There will be a 2nd training on Monday 6th February 2012 at the same venue, where the team vs ATCA will be named. Hoping we get a good representation from our Association.

Any queries, concerns etc, please feel free to contact me (Wino) on 0437718576.

See ya there! Cheers! 8)

Wonder which ten player will make up the rest of the side, and should Rob O'Gorman open the bowling or the batting?

Both :D

O'Gorman is a must for the side.

Big game between the Top 2 sides this week, Para Vi$ta and Rose Park. Heard that Vi$ta have brought in the big gun for this game, with G.Kels in the side. :shock:

Very good squad to select from smasha.
If all were available it would certainly give the selectors a headache trying to pick the best side from this list.....would be a good position to be in though!!

Not a bad list to choose from Smasha ol' son.. Blokes like yourself make my job easy.

It's all good mate, 90% of the blokes I've selected for rep duty have let their performances do the talking (isn't that right Noel Craig.....Mr "Who is Lee Hill?"..?? :P :lol:).

As for Super, if Fitzroy used him in his proper capacity and batted him where he should bat, I'm sure his season's performances would stack up a lot better. He was the last bloke chosen (primarily as a project player/experience) for Sydney 2010, but opened the batting in 4 matches and applied himself really well for a 17yo, including making 65 in a 2nd wicket partnership of 130 with Jonny Smith, so he proved to all & sundry (apart from his Club, apparently.. :? ) that he can apply himself at the top of the order when he has to. Still, he needs to learn to apply himself in Club cricket too and get the best out of himself. Ahh, the impeteuous youth of today.. ;)

Driving home tonight from my evening run, passed Cedar College on the way to find no one in the nets at all? Did anyone rock up? It was just then at 6:30...

I believe Super will be a logterm opening batsmen for ass. sides for years to come.

This is by no means a dig a Fitzroy but it baffles me that he is not opening the batting in a side thats form is'nt great but as i said this is means a dig at Fitzroy as there may well be a reason he is not opening.

Smasha are the NEK boys keen to play?

I know a few blokes who are not normally keen on playing are keen this year which is a great thing for the ass.

Not a dig? Well what the bloody hell is it then? No need to step on egg shells old man, just tell it like it smasha would.. Fitzroy are shooting themselves in the foot by not giving him the opportunity higher in the batting while old blokes hold onto the dream (auto :P )
