So Viney leaves Ramblers after 2 flags and takes Girardi, Sykes and Jackson with him. What a dog, but it has always been about Vines. Is this true?

he's given fair service to ramblers over the years, alot of players these days don't seem to stick around as long as he did that's for sure

Would have given 5 plus years of service and from Adelaide I would say that is a fair amount. Girardi would be similar, Both in the twilight of their careers so a move closer back to town is fairly reasonable.

As for the others I can't comment....

Harvey and Pech come with big wraps.... You'd imagine them paired with Hall would make the most potent running brigade in the RMFL

Viney is no dog! Has been great to have around as a player and socially. Between him, girardi and Sykes they have helped organise many nights at ramblers and are always around for a drink, not like a lot of other paid players these days. Happy to have had them all and there will definitely be no bad blood if they all leave. Not even sure if girardi is playing at all, he plans to travel a bit this year so if he does, he may not be the same player. Good opportunity for us to look to the future as all these guys were probably starting to slow a little with Sykes maybe being an exception as he had a great season last year

Travelling takes its toll. If you can get 5 years from travelling players I think a club has done really well. Even harder for the outlying clubs. As an outside observer to Ramblers I would have thought the boys mentioned have given great service. Someone like Roesler was a star for us but got sick of travel and finished up playing in three flags in town. He will always be fondly remembered by Imps supporters and I suggest the same can be said of the Rambler boys.

Im hearing Mannum have lost 10 players and gained 5. Could be a hole depending on the quality of players leaving. Kennedy, Geradis, Waterhouse and Quinn the bigger names.

add quinn too, as another mentioned boughen is overseas and wakefield is not playing this season, there might be a couple of others who have or are going to leave will keep you posted once transfers come through. we have a few blokes coming in to that will add quality to the midfield and backline.

With Mannum not having Kennedy or Waterhouse anymore, who will they have to play in key forward roles. I thought they might have targetted a tall in their recruiting efforts but they look to have focused on midfielders/small forwards.

Although I presume Woodward could perhaps play as a key forward.
