Adam Jackson is the other player from Ramblers - CHF, another good mate of Vines..

There is some serious talk here. Girardi, Sykes. Jackson and Viney would fill any A1 team. If the rumours are right then they just need someone to win the sherrin cos they are all receivers, seen it with my own eyes. So who feeds them, Div 4 players?????????? This is big news and makes Pulteney very very strong they have obviously found a good cheque book.

Really? Have you played footy with or against these guys? Vines can def win his own footy and Sykes def wins his own contested footy. He was one of the only guys in the RMFL last year that held his own and even won some contests against Nick Wark, and Warky was killing it in 2011 at Tailem Bend. Jacko and Girardi are quality KPP's. They are fit, hard workers and will test the fitness of most defenders with the way they play.[/quote

Do not disagree Big Fulla but just sayin that if there is good midfield feed then there is potentially 3 forwards who can kick over 200 goals between them. Syksy is one, just need a couple more. Good luck to Vines he is a top bloke.

What does the standard of footy have to do with the amount of money being offered. The two issues aren't exclusive to each other

hahaah thats up there with the funniest post ive seen since ive begun reading this forum ... Im not tryin to say country footy is above and beyond any other comp under the SANFL but div 3/4 ... seriously mate you cant have watched too many country footy games.

i havent seen every country footy league in the state but For example id like to see an amatuer league side that could get within a bulls roar of langhorne creek. Warrenx2 Hateley Feast Kellock Rogers Mcgregor Hill Basir etc etc i cant even name them theres that many that have either had a sh*t load of AFL / SANFL experience or at worst SANFL seconds. To suggest middle of the range amatuer teams could match that is just laughable. Im not in anyway suggesting that blokes on upwards of 1000 a game suggests the comp is of rediculous high standards. But in the top teams of some of country leagues good luck finding a passenger in there 22

I was simply going on what I have seen and TBH, I haven't seen as many games as you no doubt and the side you have mentioned, I haven't seen anything from there league. The point I was trying to make, is that just because country pays ridiculous money at some clubs, it doesn't make that a league thatabove and beyond amatuer league football.

Is Hately's name Adam by any chance?

I think the Hately at Langhornes is ex South Adelaide via Goodwood Saints?

Near Metro Country Leagues would be streets ahead of Division 4 and probably would start meeting their match against Div 2 sides IMHO.

Don't think he was on an AFL list. Played all his junior footy at Tantanoola in Mid SE League. Tall and very athletic as a kid. Moved to Adelaide to further his footy.

Gee things must be going bad at Para Hills!! Sandwich boards and a big banner on Bridge rd to try and attract new players to the club.........desperate measures!! Plenty on the track I hear.......pity they're all Under 18's!!! Such a shame to see such a good club turn bad in such a short time. What's going so horribly wrong at the Paddocks????

Don't know what unleys connection too sturt is but I'm pretty sure most of the teams in the eastern suburbs especially college teams would have similar if not better connections.

What is your problem Former Roo? All you do is come on here and bad mouth the club.
So what if a club puts up a banner trying to attract potential new players to play at the club? So what if a club has under 18s training with the seniors trying to better themselves? I dont think thats a problem at all. What is a problem is F##kwits like you coming on a forum and taking pot shots at a club who are trying to rebuild their list.

Pretty sure Gaza has a big sign out the front on North East Road advertising for players so if it's good enough for the Div 1 premiers I can't see why any other club can't do it.... I also don't see too much downside in having alot of under 18's out on the track for you. They are always keen, reasonably fit and are the future of most clubs and something to build on.

Good luck to Para Hills this year, hope u guys, like us, have a better 2012 :)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I'd rather have plenty of U18's on the track that in a year or two won't cost you any points and are hardened club players than a whole heap of time wasters that have been paid $$ to be there and don't give a rats about your club!

Plus, the cost of a few banners is minimal and works extremely well.
