Salis West chased down R&C's score of 182 with only the loss of 4 wickets. Scott McIntyre hit an unbeaten 72.

Once again it was our inability to consistantly bowl the right areas, conceded far too many extras and missed important opportunities in the field.
Missing Daniel Jenner was tough, had to find 8 overs that he would normally bowl.

On a positive, Ben Stamatovich has finally worked out which end of the bat to hold and compiled a nice 50 after surviving a close LBW shout early on..

That Merlin is an absolute disgrace. A blight on grade 1 and an embarassment to the PDCA.
How can a bloke be allowed to umpire when he clearly cant see whats going on and has everyone scratching their head or laughing at him!?

I wonder how this bloke manages to sleep at night..

Lets recap some finer moments today..

A ball early in the R&C innings deflected to the SW first slip and Merlin signalled 4 runs..
Ben Stamatovich hit on the pad very early on given not out - ok maybe not so bad you cant be 100% it was going to hit..
Consistantly asking fielders for confirmation on whether the ball was a 4 - even after it had been collected some 20m over the boundary.
Same with 6's.
A ball deflected of the thigh guard of a R&C batsman and was signalled wide before being corrected by the fielding side.
Believe their was a no ball bowled by the SW captain and when he asked about his footing, Merlin actually showed him that his foot was behind the line but his heel was up.
Adam Ozolins was given out LBW on 0 to a ball that was closer to hitting the grass alongside the pitch than the stumps.
McIntyre early after drinks hit the cover off the ball to the keeper from a shortish ball and was given not out - the reason was bat on ground.
He then began to lose control of the game and took some time before the next ball was bowled and followed with a couple of official warnings and a couple of warnings to lads who had not said a word.

As a spectator his display was the worst i've ever seen, at least you can say he was consistant.. consistantly rubbish all day!!

I believe Central United smashed Virginia and got a double bonus point, heard rumor Fenwick hit a 50.

Also think AV were in some strife against Smithfield..

Ordinary. 6 overs 0/25, bowled far too short, probably should've gone for a few more.
B grade next week though, hopefully can find some form.
