Very happy to pick up a point after the battering we got in the first period, we were lucky not to be 5 down.

The regular season takes a break this weekend for the All Star weekend in Ottawa

While Fox Sports will not be televising the Fantasy Draft and Skills Competition, they will be televising the actual game - from 7:30am Monday morning on Fox Sports 2.

Alex Ovechkin has withdrawn from the All Star game - although still eligible to play despite the game falling during his 3 match suspension, he doesn't feel right about playing the game due to his suspension.

The NHL have accepted his reasoning, and he won't face further sanctions for missing the event. Handled well by all parties by the looks of it.

I can see the Habs having a big finish and making a big push for the play offs.
Think they will eventually catch Toronto and Ottawa to give them a chance as they are too good a team to be where they are now.

Anyway I'm new on here so howdy all :D

Also a big Canes fan so take it easy on me

Thanks mate

Love all the American sports so you'll probably hear a lot from me on threads like this.
Roll on footy season though.

7-2 Montreal now..I think that's the final score.

Now it's all going quiet for a week. :(

Welcome aboard, always need more ice hockey fans on here, not too many of us.
Dont worry about being a Canes fan, as a lifelong passionate Caps man im the brunt of most jokes on this thread :(

Back with a vengeance tomorrow morning guys with 13 games scheduled.

Pick of the bunch for me is the Blackhawks-Canucks game with Chicago keen to get back into winning ways after being dumped twice by the Preds just before the ASB.

The "mighty" Canes have a winnable game at home against the unpredictable Isles so maybe the Caps can do us a favour and beat Tampa to help us get off the bottom. :D
