Quite possibly pie man, although I'm not sure what you mean by "old favourites", as each Carnival side is picked on performance and form..?? :? Feel free to fire a name or two my way and I'll be able to more than back up that players selection in previous Carnival sides, from 2006 until present. ;)

For the record, ALL positions are vacant and up for grabs for Melbourne 2012. Speaking of which.....

TRAININGS FOR SAMCA MATCH 12/2/12 vs ATCA will commence Monday 30th January 2012 at Cedar College, Fosters Rd, Northgate at 6pm.

There will be a 2nd training on Monday 6th February 2012 at the same venue, where the team vs ATCA will be named. Hoping we get a good representation from our Association. 8)

Any queries, concerns etc, please feel free to contact me (Wino) on 0437718576.

Cheers,
GH

Lost a point because we played a player that I was under the impression was registered.
Was told that he was unregistered at a delates meeting so filled in the paperwork and sent it in.
Paperwork was not received by the exec. so they docked us a point.
Not going to bother challenging the point, we have made finals so all good.

What kind of arrogant team doesn't even bother appealing it, they clearly did nothing wrong but they think they don't even need that extra point!!
Every other side would of whinged and carried on (some more than others) but these blokes don't think they even need the point. Smells like arrogance to me.

Cheers,
GH

Leave Bara alone champ, he's obviously a few sandwiches short of a picnic. How about you riddle me this Typewriter. Would Para Vista rather play the Knights, the Porkers, Lutheran or even the Roys in the finals?

Hmmm.... I play most of my cricket in the B's, so I couldn't really answer you! You may have to direct your question to Oxy Thief... But, I know what he would say... the A's don't mind who they play in finals. You have to beat a great team at some point to win the trophy anyways, so who they get in the semi and the GF doesn't matter. At this time of the year, all O2 is worried about is having his best XI possible on the park.

Cliched I know, but it's the truth deep down. The stalwarts of our A's aren't arrogant - sometimes misunderstood because they play hard, look good and like winning - but I count them as my best mates because they take everything as it comes and like a laugh too.

In my experience, you could say that about 90% of players at any of the Divvy 1 clubs. In my brushes with the likes of Balding, Spry, Roling, Taylor, Borgas, McDonald, Traianos, Harris - they've always made me feel welcome and included and have shown real interest in me and my cricket. Despite what anyone might say, we have a great competition.

well said typo.
