Smithfield d Parafield gardens by 3 wickets. Gardens posted all out for 138, Bateson, Keylock, Hannun and Moss all took 2 wickets each. Smithfield then made the runs with about 3 overs to go. had a bad start to be 2/3 after 2 overs then Scotty keylock and Shaun Goulding steadied the ship to post 35 and 34 respectivley.
Ground Look fantastic but was very slow, probably would have made there score sooner if wasnt for the slowness. Raed Hannun hit a massive 6 that cleared over the shed and shipping container next to change rooms and almost landed on Ray Bickles commodore that was behind them, was massive.
Gardens put up a good fight for a club that has struggled with the right talent to mix it with good grade 1 sides this season, cedit must go to them for that.
For us we have to step up in preformances for the next 7 weeks if we are to make finals and make something of this season. Have given opprtunites to many young lads this year that will hopefully hold us in good sted for years to come

his form didnt effect 12 of the 15 wickets... so only 3 or 4 were his decisions, Dave Ritzema lbw 0, Lewendon lbw 2 , both 50/50.. but S McIntyre lbw 0... shouldering arms and padding up to one on off stump 1st ball is asking to be given out.... and he was given out... the other two guys can consider themselves unlucky, and i think Ricky Thomas may have a life too . Bob didnt have his best day, but thats cricket, none of the players did either. it was a tough hard contest thou, despite the 1 v 6 , with lots of spirit and passion.. and some excellent sledging and banter from both camps..

Ricky Thomas may have had a life ?? He came out and apologised to me and said that he smashed it.

Dave Ritzema should've been given the first time he was struck on the pads in front. The one he was given out on was definitely a make up call.

Probably closer to 5 bad decisions.... Thats an extremely ordinary day at the office if you ask me.

Tony was didn't have the best game in the VIR v R&C game, although cant blame him for the result as Rosies were ordinary.

Leo appeared plumb LBW on 0 when he was hit on the full trying to hit across the line but was given not out.
D. Jenner was given out LBW to a ball that hit him on the knee roll batting a good half metre out the crease.
B. Stamatovich was given not out very next ball to one that appeared that is was going to crash into middle peg.
2x Caught behinds (one for each side) given not out.

Like I said though, no excuse for the loss for Rosies, they fielded and bowled very poorly. Dropped Catches, misfields and some absolute garbage dished up by some of the bowlers either too full or too short.

Left before you guys had batted? Confidence or just pure arrogance? Or you just so used to Willie getting the job done, didn't think anyone below 3 would have to bat?

I've heard a rumour that 4 R&C A graders will be unavailable for their upcoming fixture against OTH. The names mentioned are Brookes, D. Jenner, Bedgegood and Clayton Cameron.

no mention of scottys decision, so i take it that you feel he was hard done by ? also from the abuse and dissent showed in disputing his decision for all 65 meters back to the boundry line, hes problably lucky he wont miss 3 games, bob let him off lightly with a warning..

Once again, froffies casting an eye over the Salisbury west clash with the units Saturday and rocked up when it was all happening. Nick kershaw put on an embarrassing dummy spit calling a central united player the C word and yellin out from the boundary come out to the car park after the game and I will bottle ya. Very amusing for the spectator to see a grown man carry on like that. I work with kids that don't throw dummy spits that bad. Also Scott McIntyre put on a clinic when walking off the ground too. Disputing the umpires decision, I think he thought he could go to the third umpire for a review because that's how seriously some players take SOCIAL CRICKET. EXTREMELY FUNNY STUFF!

GRADE 1 PREMIERSHIP TABLE
Salisbury West 105.00
Rose & Crown 91.85
Angle Vale 88.46
Virginia 70.29

Smithfield 58.76
One Tree Hill 58.18
Central United 53.02
Parafield Gardens 36.52

Round 11
Virginia vs Central United
Parafield Gardens vs One Tree Hill
Smithfield vs Angle Vale
Rose & Crown vs Salisbury West

4 crucial games for the round, can't ask for much better than that, no real short priced favourite either. At least we get to play the 3 teams that we are vying for the last place in the 4 in the last 3 rounds, it will determine who deserves the 4th spot.

Question. Are you guys focussing more on reaching finals or avoiding relegation?
I know talking to a few United lads, it seemed their main priority was to avoid relegation, given the tightness of the ladder I think thats almost a negative frame of mind.
