Obviously not all the west coast lads think Imps are wankers LF, seem to have no trouble attracting them. Perhaps you follow the wrong club yourself ?

Have not spoken to any of the recruiting guys from Imps for a couple of weeks so will try and find out a bit more but they only have 8 points and they are allocated to Davey(2) Hall (3) and Smith (3). Parks will be 3 as well. Mathematics says they cant keep recruiting points players but they may have conceeded that Hall will see the year out at North to allow Parks to fit in.

I think Parks will be the 11th player Imperials have recruited from the West Coast since Luke Harrowfield first came 6 or 7 years ago. All have been really good blokes and have ensured Imperials is a great place to be both on and off the field.

FTO - which Smith is that that you referred to a couple of posts above? Is that the bloke from Mt Barker?

Also anyone got info on Parks? Which club on EP is he from and what type of player is he?

Yes Smith is from Mt Barker. Did not play much footy last year because of injury but all reports are that he is a quality pick up.

Coming from Marble Range in Port Lincoln. Spent most of his time at CHF or HFF. Strong grab on him and can kick some good goals. Very good second and third efforts in every contest when it goes to ground.

Parks played most of his footy at marble range, had a year at tassies did bugger all ;) n then went back to rangers, hes played for lincoln in the mortlock n won leading goal kicker 3 times in the carnival, hes played country carnival for the ep side a couple of year also, he's been doing a pre season at sturt this year but like most country lads doesnt find it fun n would rather have a few beers n a kick with his mates, hes a forward, but he can run thru the mid field, solid lad n loves a good convo about how big his muscles are

He's got some talent that lad. I hear Quinny is busy talkin to every player he can, even spoken to a few Tailem Bend boys. It wouldn't be a good year to jump off the Eagles, its looking positive and we expect to improve again this year.

The RMFL is always going to be a major recruiting ground for the Mallee and it is hard to retain players if they are offered good $$$. Peake had 4 past Imperials A grade premiership players playing last year. Dont think it is helping relationship between the two leagues and coaches like Quinn become very unpopular very quickly.

I dont blame Quinny, he's trying to build a team. Most clubs and coaches do it, whether they're up front about it is another thing. To me it means that clubs have to be communicating with the whole squad more than ever so guys know what they're a part of. Good fringe players can be a target, we recruited Mike Feigert from Ramblers last year, just too bad he was injured for most of the year, he's a handy player.

Sounds like it will be another relatively even year with most clubs probably improving, and the top clubs not dropping off, if at all.

Will be interesting to see confirmation of player movement once they start showing up in the clearances list.

Elijah Ware has signed with Meningie is my report out of camp. And McLeod has said he will try and play 8 games at Meningie this season, but surely it's going to be hard with his committments at the Crows and now Norwood!!!
