Now that you mention it, I think this was a key difference in the two sides. When the time came to lift the scoring rate, the R&C bowlers managed to adjust their areas to nullify the attempted/required batting onslaught where as the CU bowlers continued to hit the same spot, giving Brookes & Jenner enough time and room to pick the length and confidently get under the ball and hit through the air.
Also thought it was suprising that CU opted to bowl out D. Ritzema and Picton who were being punished for their last 4 overs each while the other Ritzema (S) who had bowled tidy early was over looked. Also thought that Woodward might've been brought on earlier when the R&C batsman were cutting sick.

It was a cr@p game - 8 decisions made by an umpire including the lbw off the last ball when we needed 1 to win.

Made his decision as the winning run was scored.

To goodwoods credit they did excessively appeal for everything, some umpires just can't handle pressure like that!

same umpire who did the u/15s PDCA VS ATCA today, too old, very slow with his signals and decisions, struggled with his hearing too. By all reports Bob Aldridge from PDCA as always did a very good job.

1 or 2 maybe but 4 of the top 5 weren't out
Run out was interesting as it was at the bowlers end and he had his back turned
Lucky he wasn't umpiring in PDCA or someone would've beaten the old fella up

A 320 run loss for OTH's B Grade against Riverside on the weekend...WTF? This has to be a record losing margin in a 40 over match surely?

OTH should never have been in Grade 2 anyway, struggled big time last season, lost players, it's a credit to them for taking it on the chin and soldiering on.
Apparently Adam Harris is only playing one game for the year for Riverside, pity it was in a nothing game, a good addition to an already potent batting line-up.

Do we have a Grade 6?

I think TTG, Dublin, Tigers and anyone else who only has one side should have a seperate comp, Grade 6 is a blight on the PDCA.

I think you will find he is playing more than 1 game and that they will be doing their best to get him qualified for finals.

Definatly makes their batting potent with Edge, L.Harris, Kinnear, McMullen and Colbourne who bats around them.

yeah i have to work every Sunday especially considering i will hopefully need to get 2 whole weekends of for cricket finals, plus i get every Centrals game off including all the SANFL finals series on Sundays.

i dont mind its a good chance for the young lads at our club to have a bit of fun with no pressure, and just have a laugh.

i heard Ray Smith bowled pretty sharpe on the Sunday.
