[quote="Moe"]Jeez, boys. Been stuck on page 59 for a while. Lets discuss the 3 biggest issues for the year in our comp.

Take your pick from any of these topics:

1. Andrew Wright - USUALLY only over reacts to dickheads
2. Sheidow Park Div. 4 - What about Sheidow Sect 4??
10. Afternoon teas? Are they dead or are they the future of cricket. - Association should make them mandatory for home sides

Some interesting results this round.

Belair got a touch up by the sharks.

South Road won comfortably. Although i did tip them 8) didn't think they would give them a hiding.

Glenelg notched up their first win of the year against Cove.

Plympton dug themselves out of a hole and got across the line against Shiedow Pk.

Morphies and Keswick didn't tie  ;) .

Good day for plympton, 3 out of 4 sides winning today... i just wanna make mention of the improvement of the pfcc as a club as a whole since i was there last.. Great feeling down the club atm... good win by the a's this round... always good to knock of sheidow... the powers that be down at pfcc are moving the club in the rite direction.

i played in the 2's today and i just wanna say mitsi doin a great job with the young lads in the 2's (except for me and bill raven  ).. we played panorama, made 157 and bowled them out for a little over a 100... some very promising younsters playing in the side, i feel like an old man. really good win, and sitting in a good position.

Also wanna make mention of a bloke who plays in the 2's, his name is Bill Raven, the club is a better place to have him there... yes i know how sucky that sounds, but for the people who know him, even the guys who dont play at pfcc would agree that they would love someone like him at there club... he bowled a treat today, like he always does... bowled 13.3 overs with figures of 6/14... thats not even his best figures.. one of the most reliable people down the club. well bowled mate.

HAPPY 30TH JABBER... :D

Quote JC "you arrogant pricks won't make 300 today"

Haha  nice one!

Good to see the old fella be protective of his son all day in our game.

Well done to Ollie for his game for his MOTM award. 4 fa and 32. Good game for him and us.

Be interesting to see if JC is there next game, 2 and 5 may bring back bad memories..or was it 1 and 5 as coach?

Welcome back, WYC obviously won :D

What was the thinking behind batting on when the game was won ... Would have thought most clubs in this cricket comp would be happy to finish and have a beer. Surely that so called comment from JC didnt inspire you to keep them out there ?

Nah wasnt that. Numerous reasons to keep batting. But mainly to give the blokes another bat, the way ramblers carried o from ball one, and to also give JC a chance to get a wicket and help improve his strike rate.

Mainly giving people a bat with three huge games in a row coming up.

Don't you train during the week??? I'd be pretty annoyed too if there was no chance of any sort of result!!!
What were the numerous other reasons why you'd bat on, other then to annoy the opposition???

not enough of that goes on in our comp. well done to wyc for batting on. espescially if ive been in the field for up to 75 overs in week one, and we pass a the score, its bloody well within the chasing teams right to do it. no training is as good as being out there on a saturday, and its why we play cricket... to score runs, take wickets and grab catches. cricket gets called off way too early sometimes these days. the beers will still be there at 6pm.

Well in fact we have at least 4 people missing from this game in a few games time so the people batting at 8,9 and 10 will be batting much higher and have much more responsibility. It is important for that practice to happen in the middle as no ball machine or net practice can simulate what happens on a saturday against another side.

Frankly it had nothing to do with ramblers but more about how we want to prepare our side for the rest of the season and hopefully finals. Because i haven't played in a grand final yet where 8,9,10 and 11 haven't had a bat.

Mate, when one of the senior players at Sheidow Park needs to apologise for the behaviour of his own team mates then i think you should probably let sleeping dogs lie regarding thigh pads and sunnies champ. Sounds like someone at Shiedow might think some of his own team mates are douche's...

If i was captain and won early I'd keep batting, enough sides have done that to me over the years and made us stay out in the field chasing leather, possibly not all day because i'm a bit partial to a carlton cold by about 4:30pm, but maybe a couple of hours!

I think it looks a bit ordinary, but its not going to ruin my day's cricket if i see it, as it appears to do for some... But, small things...
