Fitzroy 180 v Rose Park 2-60
Fitzies won the toss and batted and were off to a poor start being 5-56, until the Rolling brothers put in what must of been close to 100. Harry hit hit them sweet making 60 odd while Aaron would have made 40. With 13 overs left Wehrman and Wimberley were off to flyer till both were dismissed by jaffars from Harry and Pidge leaving Rose Park 2-60.

Rose Park B and Enfield C were delayed week due to the pitch covered by foot long grass!

Seaton A 92 vs NEK 5-172

Paralowie v NE Knights
Paralowie HS

NE Knights 189
Clune 52
Allen 37
S. Holland 5/58
B. Norton 2/30 (first 38 balls were dots and after 7.5 overs 1/1 then ....664)
M. Frith 2/30
Paralowie 0/34
S. Holland 29*
B. Norton 1*

Good effort by the Pirates who had....8 players.....amazingly captain Holland won the toss and bowled with 8 players on small (Salsibury North small oval for those who know it) and oval with a fast outfield
It was a shock to the senses when we went out to bat to see all those fielders

Restrict a side to 189 with only 8 players on that oval is a bit better than a good effort I think!! Thats awesome! Side should be filthy if they dont hit 300+ on that postage stamp!

Sorry mate, seems I gave some of your runs to your bro  Still it was the partnership which denied us what could have been a big day for us. I'll still take the current position we're in ;) I also should mention Old Man Hendo's first 'Michelle Pfeiffer' for the club despite still feeling the affects from Pre-season footy training.

And Goat Herder (or anyone else) can you please share us the link of the great batting display of Pidge on youtube? Few of the Rose Park lads were a bit perplexed by his batting, and wouldn't mind another look on the net.

Couple of stupid questions, how come Paralowie A Grade is only playing with 8 surprised to see use a struggling for numbers. Also what with the Pirates, i always thought Paralowie were the roos.

By the look of the way things seem to be falling, the last game of the year between Paralowie and Morialta will be for top spot. Big times ahead, especially if Paralowie can get a full roster of players.

schitzy this weekend was bad timimg for us as lets just say we have a few that enjoy a drink or 30, we have one away working in melbourne, Holland has gone back Millicent today for work, one has a broken hand from punching a hand dryer in the toielts at his xmas show whilst being drunk and one was away fishing yesterday.

These are regular issue that confront the Paralowie captain week in week out but it just wouldnt be paralowie if these issues did'nt arrive almost makes you stronger lol

2nd time ever in my life Ive won the toss and bowled  and to do it with 8 players is just stupid! but it was a decision i discussed with senior players Norton and Frithy who both agreed it was the right thing to do as I could only play the first week.

Doesnt really work out well for you guys does it OBB?

Not looking to far ahead as we have 2 very tough games coming up but we were looking at the div2 ladder to see the differance between finishing 2nd or top we thought it was Adel luth 3rd and you guys 4th but i now see PV are 4th and should they win this game which looks likely it makes it even harder for you guys mate.

yeah not ideal for us if PV win and we lose then it will mean we will have to beat NEK outright which is never easy to achieve

well well well.....get to the ground on sat, and got met with the ump , my skip, seaton skip and the opening bowler....
got warned if their is any trouble we will be banned from the assoc.
good way to start the game I thought ......wasnt even me and their bowler who were at war in the first place
but all in all game was actually played in good spirits  . and I personally bought their guys a drink after the game
and had a good laugh with the seaton boys.
and no shorts or coloured shirts were to be seen ;)
maybe the assoc warning worked or maybe we all just wanted to play some cricket , either way was a good game of cricket.
