So what has the SACA done in the past decade?

So what has the SACA done in the past decade?

Postby Dutchy » Fri Jan 13, 2012 9:09 am

> Run the Rebacks who havent done anything of note for years,
> Keep employing and sacking numerous coaches, specialists and high performance managers who dont perform
> Keep running the same old grade competition that is tired, has too many teams and quality is poor
> Refuse to revamp the grade competition, which is the root cause of the Redbacks performance
> Build a new stand which doesnt have toilets on all levels, where you can get wet sitting under cover and has no media or corporate facilities
> Allow AFL to take over the Adelaide Oval and destroy one of the best cricket grounds in the world
> Run the Strikers who contract 2 overseas players who were both unavailable for the second half of the competition and let the Redbacks best player go elsewhere

So what have they done right in the past decade? The SACA board/executive seem to escape any blame for cricket in SA.

You overlooked the $70-80m in debt they have overseen.

Got rid of the two best shield players we had in this state. Harris and Cosgrove

Partially to blame for the ruined careers of two of the countries most promising spinners. Cullen and Bailey.

When Harris first defected to a rival state I was livid with the management for letting him go. But in the years past I have discovered that Ryan had some personal issues that management got wind of and decided to take action on said issues. His new state did not know about the issues either and offered a far more attractive deal.

Obviously now that he is in the national team Ryan has sorted out his problems so I commend him on that.

Clearly not good enough for test match cricket. Not really good enough to hold his position in the shield side in my opinion. Has done sweat FA.
