Couple of nice decisions going Poorakas way I thought...
Convinced the men in green.

Congrates to Hope Valley they outplayed us last night they bowled extremely well when needed and deserved to win.
However i will say what an absolute joke that song the team done after the game and the carry on afterwards was some of the worst sportsmanship i have ever seen. Remember to be good winners that's all i can say. There would have been no way known I/F would have carried on like that. Good luck next round just hope you put the song away until maybe you win a flag or something

Correct
6 LBWs at a dodgy run out, great umpiring![]()
Last LBW was off the last ball of the day when BL needed 1 run......

Was at the match as an independent observer only, without being a member of either club.
Been around cricket for some 36 years in some capacity as a player or 10 as a coach/captain coach and as an administrator, in either District Cricket or Adelaide Turf, with a good majority being in District.
6 LBW decisions and a shocking caught behind. 2 of the LBW decisions at best could be described as possibly out, whilst 4 others were absolute howlers.
5 howlers out of 10 dismissals is very ordinary. You probably expect 1 or 2 per side per innings, but this was above and beyond the call of duty.
Commented to many others in cricket circles, earlier tonight what I had witnessed and no one could believe what I was describing. Not flash at all for the game - let alone the spectators or players.

In reality, I'd like to see them dump the bottom 16 and let A3 umpire themselves, umps only for A1 and A2.
At least if players are umpiring, while you will get far fewer LBWs, at least both teams know where things stand going into the game.
The other consideration is it costs a team in A3 $1,905 for umpires, and add another $400 if they play finals.
For the clubs who don't have their own bar facilities, finding $2,300 to pay these guys is a tough ask, and at times you really find yourself wondering why you bother given the service we get in return.
Bad decisions will always happen with either club or association umpires, it the nature of cricket and you're not going to change that. But to be paying such a considerable sum for such a poor service, it's just not on!

Especially when sitting at mid wicket boundary you hear the inside edge onto the pad and the 90 year old can't hear it cause he hasn't turned his hearing aid on

One of the very, very, very ordinary efforts from both umpires (especially one who is noted for being trigger happy) that I have ever seen. Would not have wanted to be a player or coach anymore, as it would be very easy to become highly frustrated and say something that the umpires would not be happy with. Well done to the BL lads for not indulging in any sledging of the two guys supposedly in charge.
