Should've just gotten Miles to square drive one for 6 at that ground ;)

Nice to get that buffer back after we were washed out last game before Christmas whilst everyone else played...

19 to win, and had just under 4 overs to get the bonus point, still had 6 wickets in hand.
We cant complain too much, we snagged the result before xmas when no one else did and also we probably cost ourselves today, our fielding was ordinary and our over rate I thought was a bit slow, probably should've already had the game won before the rain came.
Thats life though, time to worry about next week..

Thought if stama could hang around then he would have polished the game off before the rain but he got out at the right time for us. Rosies deserved the win played the better cricket, but these things do happen and really saved us at the end of the day. Will take that and hopefully learn from a very good side come finals time if we happen to be the side that takes 4th spot.

While batting I really didn't think the rain was going to be a problem, looked like it had swung past us than within 5 min it was all over. Was really surprised when you blokes were 2for 70 off about 8 overs and the young blonde fella(big mouth) come in instead of raed? Momentum swung and it was game on from there..who was captain?

Raed was captain, the young fella is a capable batsman, we had our batting list with Gates coming in at 4, hindsight is a wonderful thing though, we just need 2 or 3 an over til the 25 over mark after our start and then tried to open up the floodgates, didn't work out like that though, Craig and Daniel bowled in good area's and forced the errors.
Big mouth?? Yeah he is a bit lippy but you can't expect your opponents to cop your shit and say nothing mate, you were ripping into a 16 year old debutant batting at 10.

Are you serious lm? Ripping into your 16yr old? Please explain? Once you blokes were 6 down I didnt have much to say at all..but I do remember your number 11 giving him advice and me saying never listen to a number 11, he then hit a 4 and a 6 and with that I said that was a great shot..so if thats having a go things are a bit precious down there  ...as for the blonde lad he went to town on me lastyear before I faced a ball so when he is 1 run off 20 balls(yes I was counting) he can expect a gobfull from me, nothing worse than a smartarse who cant back it up imo..

OK, sorry mate, just seen him chatting with you and put 2 and 2 together, I was wrong then, he didn't say you were bagging him  . Yeah, I heard you counting, you were only a ball off aswell I might add ;) .
Have to agree, I'd rather the young un's shut up til they're on 30 at least and would sooner see them encourage their team-mates before bagging the opposition.
The young lad did well in his debut, needs to learn that bad balls go for runs in Grade 1, it's not about pace, it's about bowling in good area's, thought you were going to be bowling given the warm up you were having.
Saw a bit of catchit of old on Saturday with the way you were striking the ball.

PS: I'll remove my foot from my mouth now

No Morris or Newman hurt us in both discipline's, Damian has bowled very tidily in the one dayers and helps us bowl in good partnerships, big Jim steady's the ship for us and takes pressure off those around him, we need to be a bit more experimental, Bickle has been asking to open all throughout the one-dayers, we've been too reluctant to move him from 6 or 7 where he's been scoring good runs.

Back to the drawing board for us, 4 captains used so far this season hasn't helped us along with a horror run of injuries and unavailability to key players.
Now we have to re-group and hopefully put together a strong side against the comp leaders and try pulling off an upset, obviously wont be easy but no point rocking up if you don't think you have a chance.

That ladder doesn't appear correct to me.... Surely with a double bonus point we score more than 9 points for the round ??

I fixed it mate, Pete probably has to wait for all the confirmed results before going through and fixing the finer details.

When are the seniors playing in the SAMCA cup? Has a side been named? Is Super in charge again?

Yeah, we put in balls faced for the one-dayers, it calculates all of the runs scored for the season against the balls that have been entered, a bit of a flaw with the site.
