30mm of rain in just under 1/2 hour, 1 1/2 hours before we hosted a friends 30th. the carport drain couldn't cope, there was water banked up against the roller door, heaps of decorations trashed in the back yard and the veranda gutters overflowed onto the coffee, sugar, tea, all the paper napkins etc.

Ended up being a pretty nice night after it dried out though.
