Dear Ricky,

Sorry I shitcanned you, but let's face it you batted like garbage.

Your efforts, however, in scoring back to back fifties in the Boxing Day Test, and a first innings century in Sydney would move me to say, sorry, I was wrong.

Here's to hoping you continue this form you have shown.

Regards,

Parky.

Yeah ill add my name to that list, sorry Ricky

x3. Well batted Ricky.

Here is hoping his form continues and the best australian batsman since bradman can retire on his own accord.

I must admit I didn't think Ponting had another ton in him but I certainly didn't think Michael Clarke had a 250 in him

That photo says a lot about Ponting as a cricketer.
It is the essence of him.

I was forever hopeful we might see the best of him again - he's given us another chance to see him in full flight. Great stuff.

As for Pup - he proved he was up for the job as skipper ages ago. To see 250 on the board is fantastic though.
Another player whose average will go up after being given the captaincy.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Started the series with two half centuries as well.
Before missing out in the second NZ Test, he scored 78 in the First Test, and 62 in the last Test versus South Africa.

He is officially in form.
